Hi Jon, well done with all your efforts in this. In my opinion the money should be on hold for a while yet, just in case it's needed for a fly-by in the near future. Or should we still have the fly-by regardless??

 

Thanks Jon, I’d suggest you hang on to it until it’s confirmed Rahic has gone. It does n’t feel right to me to have it hanging over the club waiting to see if they let us down. With Rahic gone it has to be a clean start.

If Rupp stays let’s give him a chance to correct what Rahic has done whilst he let him get on with it.
Rupp’s mistake was believing in him. Time for him to stand up and we can give the money to either one or both of the said charities. Amongst other protests I think the plane idea was a great success.

 

Echo pretty much everything above. Let's just hang on a while. Perhaps when the time comes, a 50/50 split is easiest, unless individuals have a serious issue with either good cause, unlikely, I would imagine (I'm not including @Offside 's merc fund in that ).

And as @JudgeMental alludes to, please, just for once, don't one single detractor waste anybody's time commenting on this thread.

As above @JonButterfield respect for setting it up and making the decision you did it couldn't have been easy.
I'm in favour of holding the money until Edin has left the building, and Im more than happy to share the procceds between both The Bradford Burns Unit and Darbys charity.




Just the one thing Jon tell them not to throw the "RUPP" letters away they might be needed.

 

I would agree with holding on to the funds for a few weeks, if we have no change then we can still have the fly over. If Mr Rahic has indeed left the building then I'm happy to split the donations between the MND foundation & the Burns Unit.

 

I’m happy for you to donate my tenner split between the burns unit and mnd. If things don’t materialise as we all hope I’ll happily donate again

 

frankly, I'd be absolutely amazed if some sort of U turn happened now - Edin's on his way out. zero point still doing the flyover at this point.

To be fair Fordy you could independently raise funds for and coordinate a flyover. If there is enough support for it in a format and terms of cancellation you propose you won't have a problem with it getting off the ground.

you know exactly what the situation was/is, don't pretend you were all confused by 'mixed messages' and us not knowing what we want.

 

No Bronco, his remit would be to keep his nose out, not panic on bad days, not get giddy on good days. Football is different and Edin has spectacularly mismanged but still, Rupp was an investor, none of this is his fault.

 

Thank you Jon, Stefan has made most Bradford City fans happy today with that welcomed news about Edin Rahic so I'm quite happy to go along with the rest who want to donate to both the Bradford Burns Unit and Stephen Darbys charity.

Yes, it's pleasing that Rupp have kicked Edin out(even though no comment on buying his shares has been mentioned)

However, Rupp is still partly to blame for where the club currently finds itself and until he proves he is capable of running this wonderful club and puts his hand in his pocket to buy players then it's not a "Thank You" for me but just a step in the right direction.

Rupp needs to deliver now. No excuses!

My view is that we hold the funds until we have confirmation that Rahic has or is leaving. I know this may take some time but shouldn't be overly long as his potential departure is all over the press.

If he doesn't look like he's leaving in the next few weeks I would go for the fly by again.

If our dreams come true, my contribution can go equally to the BU and MND

 

Personally I think waiting until we have had confirmation that he is leaving is the right idea. After an announcement from the club the contributors can then pm you what they want doing with there contribution.
