Fair play mate, you made the right call. How would any right minded fan do otherwise if told it would do more harm than good and have financial implications on the club, a no brainer for me.

Having said that, I have no confidence that what you have been told would have factually played out and until he’s gone I firmly believe this should just be a postponement.

 

To be honest I was hoping and still are hoping the reason it was pulled was far more to do with Edin going than a non contracted player signing for the club.
As you say this fly bye has been arranged for several weeks the player was signed up on Friday the situation gets stranger by the minute.
If things don't happen behind the scenes certain people who have put @JonButterfield in this position should be ashamed of themselves.

Then answer it to someone else. We're being told it would damage the club but no evidence is there to support that.

If you are referring to Edin's ego I can assure you he was not involved and had this plea come from him then we would not have got involved.

@JonButterfield have the people who got in touch and paused the question told you not to divulge what was said, if so all this is doing us getting fans against fans, even contributions from some who posibly didnt contribute.
You was put in a very awkard position with time running out, was this an official of the club who made the request or a friend of a friend (not doubting tor a minute that you won't get the money refunded) can you tell us if it was an officual approch by the club, or would you prefer it to remain anonymous.
This is not in anyway questioning what you did you was put in a difficult position IMO.

Look I am not being arsy for the sake of it. I didn’t know until you have just told me that weeks ago they weren’t bothered but now they are! The club panic over a protest at the last minute and we are all supposed to stand down and behave? You then start snapping at me because guess what something only you know? I like others do not have a hot line to the club heirachy as you obviously do! I fully accept Jon decisions and obviously trying to consult with 64 ppl would have been challenging to say the least.

I will await further developments.

 

Where exactly am I snapping at you !!! I asked you to consider the fact that they weren't bothered about the initial flyover but yesterday they were. That should explain that things have moved on from 3 week ago.
