It has to be considered a positive that his current club wanted to keep him.
Having said that, either through injury or form, he wasn't a consistent part of their starting 11. I think this is one of those so and so signings and we won't know how good he is until we see him in action in league two. Given that he can play a few positions in defense Bowyer might view him as a utility player?
The majority of our summer signings will probably fall into the category of "I'm not sure whether this is a good signing". I expect we'll only make a handful of signings where we can say with 90% certainty that they will turn out to be good. Thinking back to 2012-2013 I can remember being confident that McArdle, Doyle, Jones and Thompson would all turn out to be good signings. If we don't make at least three signings where we can be reasonably sure that they will be very good players then i'll start to get worried.BoingBoing likes this. -

Plus he’s actually 27yrs old and not 25. Not that changes much.
