For a 27 year old he hasnt played a huge amount of football.

 

He shouldn't have any issues defending set pieces going by his height. We was so poor with those last season.

Dunno, we were pretty good at getting relegated. Beat everyone else to it, even other piss poor teams!

 

Even with our backs to the wall and seemingly no where else to go, we still managed to burrow under it!

 

I think we should get some form of recognition for just how spectacularly crap we were. at several times in the last 18 months I've thought things can't get any worse, and they always did. it was a real skill.

We need better than ‘OK’ though if we want to be challenging for the auto-promotion places

 

New regime? They’ll be playing under the same man as they did for the majority of the 2nd half of the season. Agree that some still have a future here, but there’s still quite a few that simply aren’t good enough.

 

But he hasn’t over the last few seasons and that’s the point I’m making. And how many wingers (players of his type) do you know miss more than half available games due to injury?

 

Let's be honest, we aren't viable contenders for the autos at this point.

We are easily the worst of the four teams that came down, have less resources than Salford, and while we're trying to build a genuinely competitive side with real purpose, there will be more than a few teams who have already fostered that culture.

It's going to take a remarkable transfer window to turn down our relegated reserve team (our best players were on loan) into a top three side.

Right now, we're probably bottom half.
