League 2 clubs don’t get hardly any TV money, there’ll be no sponsors with no fans as who will see the adverts, and how many clubs get prize money?
Without fans there’s no income to pay the things you mention.
Why does anyone think that clubs at lower levels can afford to stage games without fans?
The only answer to this is to resume fully in September and fuuccck COVID!

Further uodate on getting us back into Valley Parade by October latest !

A couple of seasons back I went to Germany to the Revier Derby Schalke v Dortmund. In the away corner about 3-4000 BVB fans rocked up in black chemical PPE suits and masks ! What a spectacle that was. Their modus operandi was to simply avoid being exposed to "Schalke virus" ?!.

So lets relate that rather extreme fan reaction to now when we might actually need or feel a bit more reassured by wearing PPE to avoid catching lurgy ?. So lets get knocking up some City PPE ! See we have already launched masks at a £10er proceeds to NHS.

Next job we need up to 12000 Bio chemical suits along the lines of Police Crime Incident lightweight suits. In Claret & Amber of course £20 a pop sounds right much needed revenue for club. Dont forget your City facemask and a pair of gloves. Stick them in your car boot and don them afore you set off to walk to the ground.

At the ground the club has to set up "disinfectant shower" facilities in front of the walk up to the turnstile to show your eletronic season ticket. Your doused with disinfectant as you walk in. Take your seat which will be marked out with a metre sq social distance.
    Game on !

End of game walk back out threw the :shower" for exit decontamination. Walk back to car put your Bio Chem City suit in a bag in your boot. Chuck it in washer at 60 degrees soon as you get in.

Players & officials only ones need a test to make sure they are all safe on pitch. We"re all happy; back to a kind of normal.

You can take this idea forward into many settings that look finished otherwise. If anyones got a better idea I'd like to hear it ?. Certainly we cannot wait for the Govt or the Science to get us into VP and save the club. Got to be brave and innovative to do that.

Here we go ! glad to say some in Football are starting to think things through. We have to otherwise the entire Football Pyramid below the Championship is in danger of financial collapse. Football L1 and below NEEDS YOU & I otherwise clubs are out of existance.

Common sense has to prevail and that as I have already stated means fans back in October latest for the new season 2020-21. But back in a slighty different way. It wont mean all of us at every home game. As this article says in the DM it may (as I have put forward) mean stadiums open to only a quarter of their capacity ? So 6000 at VP. But we will be back in part.

Season tickets will be on sale before August is out. A ticket will cover access to games and Ifollow coverage. There will be no Away fans. There will be no children (as these are difficult to manage in this context) so tickets will only be available to those Over 18 years. There will be no Over 70s for their own sake. But the rest of us good to go.

We have to get innovative and work together to Save Our Football and Clubs. If we do we will survive and thrive beyond this crisis.

Bollox to Covid19 no ones turning me into a "cardboard cut out"

Have a read and start thinking positive "Stuart McCalls Bradford Army"

If only it were as much as 25%! If social distancing of 2m is to be maintained in football stadia, it would typically require 3 vacant seats between each fan with at least two empty rows of seats behind. If you do the maths, that's approximately 1 supporter occupying the space currently filled by 12! In a stadium such as ours with let's say a capacity of 24,000, that's room for 2,000 supporters. And that's before there are any further restrictions on numbers for toilet facilities, bars, kiosks etc. Once the additional costs of security and supervision are added in, there would be little point in opening the stadium for such a measly number of fans.

Don't panic just yet Captain Mainwaring. Lower league football will be played BCD if at all until the current social distancing is removed which itself is probably dependent on a vaccine being made available for everybody.

Sorry Bronco nothing personal to your goodself or Park but it is probably going to be that way at least to begin with. There will definitely be a period of "suck it and see"? If things go well then it would be opened up to our more "senior fans". But the temporary "compensation" could be free access to Ifollow for the games. Its not fair I agree you and Park are likely spritley for your years. But for what will be percieved as a higher risk event gathering there will be perameters at both ends of the scale. Dont forget I am suggesting clubs temporarily excluded those Under 18 for reasons of effective control and management.

We need fans at L1 level and below as soon as safe & possible. It will need innovation and good management. But I am confident if those of us who form the "advanced party" show and prove it workable. You will not be that far behind the lines long. Dont take it personal; talk of infringment of rights by some off the mark. Lets keep positive; use common sense and we will all be back at Valley Parade in the forseeable future.

None of that is going to happen ? Just like the daily news feeds gloom & doom. The 2m rule will be 1m which debunks that theory. Just trust me we will find a way to safely seat a quarter of our season ticket holders in Valley Parade by October. We will be permitted 6000 we might manage 10000 season tickets. Measured on a capacity of 24000 we will be at a live game 1 in 2 initially and watching on Ifollow if not. Lets be positive and innovate !

Look if football and sport want to get fans back then it need to make tough decisions and can't be a people pleaser.

No over 70's has to be on the blueprint to get fans back. Sorry but it has too. 93% make up the death toll of this virus and under a vaccine is produced they should be staying at home.

The government are not using common sense themselves and are all over the shop. It's going to a long road to recovery with these clowns running the country.

Plan to get crowds back should be something like this:

No more than a 3rd of capacity
    No away fans
    Season ticket fans only
    No over 70's
Staggered ground entry times (if not there in time slot then tough)
    Heat temperature taken before entry
All clubs have to improve entry turnstiles to a automatic scan barrier

I can't see dad back until 2021 at the earliest

I like your thinking ! We cannot must not get bogged down in being initially upset about how and who is allowed into live football ? . We must first and foremost find the ways to make that a reality. It has to happen to save our club; others too and the game at its roots. It makes no difference that some may have to sit it out on the bench initially. Its getting some fans back to the stadiums that will avoid losing the game to us all.

I think you are right, getting into a football ground will not be straightforward.

How many turnstile entrances do we have into the ground? They will need some significant upgrading which will not be cheap. I also have my concerns about the viability of temperature checks at the ground, both in terms of the process and also the likelihood of issues when people are refused entry.

Sorry. I hadn't appreciated you were responsible for the social distancing guidelines. When will you be changing the guidelines from 2m to 1m? July? August? September? The entire country is hanging on your every word to find out from you when the change will be made.

I know it's not personal but as I say unless it's made law (for our own safety:@/) I want the same option and chance of watching OUR club the same as the next fan, and I honestly cant see that situation being made law, Christ they cant even keep the majority safe allowing the clowns gather at Southend ETC because it's only advisory.

Unfortunately things will have to be upgraded and I have been calling out for Bradford City to do it for years.

Most PL grounds don't have the turnstiles we have and if you think about it having 8k fans touching them to get in just won't work.

Temperature checks seems to be the improvements airports are doing and in South Korea you can't get into buildings without your temperature being checked, so it's the thing to add to the 'we will do list'. People with high temperatures won't be able to fly and will just be refused entry into the ground.

It's going to cost clubs a lot of money to get crowds back.

I suspect you're correct. Isn't discrimination on the grounds of gender, race, religion or age illegal in the UK? I doubt any serious Govt or sporting governing body would even get to that point.
