    Sorry I missed that.

So they can't allow Exeter to progress, the score was 0-0 when this happened so you can't claim it had no impact. If they were 5-0 and this happened there is a sorry we messed up but the game was won argument.

Also it is not our mistake, so why should we have to Travel back down to Exeter to replay the game?

It's harsh but someone at Exeter has to take it on the chin. If they were a non league side the FA would probably kick them out no questions asked.

No I want to go through, beat Cambridge and win the chance of a big money tie.
It’s not as if we didn’t try to win last night and it does seem the illegal sub made an impact when the scores were 0-0

A near 600 mile round journey, probably at least 11 hours of travel, one of our players suspended, Exeter having the advantage of a home tie, our supporters being unable to attend a mid week match at such distance, virtually into Winter. You really have the nerve to say we are winners. I shake my head in utter disbelief.

The primary fact is that Exeter City broke the rules of the competition. Simple, straightforward.

Outcome. Exeter City have no penalty imposed on them in person, indeed they will benefit as they will get extra income from hosting an additional match.

The debate on here is passionate and largely well informed. To suggest it is ‘toxic’, in my opinion is attempting to divert attention from the culprits in this matter.

Bradford City are totally innocent, yet have to endure a lengthy trip to the South West mid week at the start of Winter.

We regularly have supporters from other clubs visit our site (we had some from Port Vale if you read the thread. We have a bit of banter, but there is no ‘toxicity’.

Quite frankly l have nothing against Exeter City or it’s supporters. To try and create tensions is not helpful.

Adams is the boss - his team; his selection; his preparation; his game planning; his tactics; his formation: his substitutes.

And his decision to blame the players! Really?

I'll tell you how I want them to react. I want them to be furious. I want them to have some self respect and pride and be determined to prove their manager wrong and show that they are worthy to wear the shirt. The sad thing is that I already know that won't happen.

I have sympathy for Adams. He clearly cares massively about trying to turn around our club and must feel disappointed in extremis that it's clearly not happening yet. Whatever he says publically, he must be hurting privately that his big plans to take us forward still sit on the runway. He's not incompetent - his track record shows that - but he does come over as quite a cold fish which doesn't help with the fans when things aren't going well. I think he is so tunnel visioned and determined, he will turn this around.

I know I take the piss but generally speaking I agree with your stance regarding rewarding the fans who put in the away miles every week. It doesn't matter what the reasoning is from those who for some reason can't attend as many games as others but that's tough luck. And those guys who put the hard yards in don't do it so they can be at the head of ticket priority, they do it first and foremost because they are loyal supporters of the club.

I think the big question is, if the game is declared void, do those who travelled to a void game then have their loyalty points removed?

Ha ha. You started off sensibly then turned into a dickhead, so that’s why you’ve attracted the responses you have.

Jeez ECFC you've got some class. I'd say never go onto another club's forum after they've lost and start the goading. And whatever Bradford's woes at the moment you should have been kicked out of the competition. I presume you're 18 years of age and the scrumpy has been flowing. See you at the Abbey

    Cheers, you guys too.

A club like Bradford deserves a better manager than Adams, quite why you'd make 3 subs in the 89th minute baffles me, plus taking Angol off earlier. The guys a complete count. Hope you get the christmas present you need!

The problem is if he goes, the player's who have frankly been continually abysmal will get yet another chance. At some stage we have got to stick with a manager for long enough for him to get the crap out of the club.
But Adams is sure making it hard to think hes that man

T & A article claiming Angol jokingly calls Robinson 'Fifi' now because of his headband, great to hear we have at long last a bit of character in the dressing room..

I think you’re wrong. Go back to the thread when we lost 3/1 to Hartlepool from October 19th. People were talking then about one win in 9 games. Fans maybe fickle but they are not stupid

Some posters on here recognised this issue at the start of the season and before the transfer window closed. Once Angol had been injured, we were forced to look in the leftover pile. No offence to Lavery and Robinson but I suspect no other club would expect the two of them to be key goalscoring players in a promotion squad.

We should have recruited better and spent more of the budget in that area before the window closed. And that's not with the benefit of hindsight.

Our performances and more importantly results, are simply a reflection of what we failed to do over the summer. Whether we can turn that around in January is questionable imo.
