Are you really that desperate for at best, a replay?

We failed to win again. Another season where hope, amongst some, is the only thing to cling onto.

Take the blinkers off, this team lacks the roundness of a promotion challenge and desperately lacks depth. This despite a 1/3rd increase in season ticket sales.

Rupp fails us again. Mid table, knocked out of every cup at the first stage

It’s not as if we didn’t try to win last night and it does seem the illegal sub made an impact when the scores were 0-0

 

That’s exactly what happened. However, we don’t want a replay, we want to go through.
It was Uwe Rosler the manager of Brentford at the time that offered us the replay as a good will gesture. The FA we’re gonna expel us from the competition.

 

Who you asking mate ?, if it's for me I'm not desperate for a reply but I do want the FA to see if Exeter have broken any of the FAs rules and if so give them the appropriate punishment.
We were down to 10 men (yes a stupid challenge by Angol and got what he deserved) but they have an extra sub on with fresh legs, I'm more than happy to accept thd FA ruling but after being told the 4th official would not allow Lavery on as it would have been our 6th sub someone got it very wrong, doesn't the 4th official keep tabs on how many sub are introduce.

If the FA deem the 4th official culpable then its likely to be a replay. Particularly if Exeter play dumb and say they didn't realise.

 

It's not their fault. @StaffordBantam posted a link and explanation. The fault is with the club not the officials.

I'm not sure that's true, I'm sure I remember that Brentford were very angry at the FA decision for the replay to go ahead and they hadn't been consulted on it at all.

 

Ah maybe. So Rosler let us have the replay we’d earned in the original game.

 

If that happens do Exeters 4 yellows and Angols yellow and red still stand.

There can be no replay as there’s simply no time to fit it in unless they play on the 2nd round date.
Doing so will see us in the draw for the 3rd round. Very interesting

 

Surely by common sense they won't make us re-play the replay. It's in no-ones interest.
Either fine Exeter / withhold prize money or re-instate us and kick them out.

What if they fine Exeter £10k , they beat Cambridge and get Man U away and an estimated 2 million windfall to spend in January to boost their promotion chances.
No thanks! They need to put us through no questions asked they broke the rules even though accidentally

 

I don't think we'll get a bye. At best, we'll be awarded the prize money and have our travel costs covered.
