I’ll not hold my breath.

 

From what I gather Doyle will be staying at Swindon, we will be ending his loan, with Swindon buying him for an undisclosed fee with a bonus payment if they finish in the top 3. Therefore obviously taking him off our books and paying his full wages.

Just waiting for the official announcement now.

John Mcginlay was unfit and had injury problems and barely played. Doyle has a good injury record, is fit and in the form of his life. Totally different situation. 2 up top with a choice of Vaughan Donaldson Doyle and McCartan looks a no brainer to me. All have different qualities and could make us unpredictable if played correctly. Whether GB Would dent his pride and play 2 up is another question. We know he doesn't have the ability to get the best out of them.

 

If you gather that why is Parker wasting his time writing what he did today then?

Let them keep him. He's not even scored that many. Adam Marriott at Kings Lynn Town has scored 25.

 

There welcome to McNulty one great season at Coventry and they mugged Reading off, on the other hand Pitman would score goal at league two level.

 

If Swindon lose Yates they'll need to be looking
elsewhere especially if Doyle comes back!

 

And they undoubtedly play at a much higher level, given people's opinion that League Two football is the worst.

 

McNulty is about as Doyle as you can get.

I agree with some of what you say, but not the "arguably the worst culprit" bit. I have never heard anything to suggest Doyle was ever disruptive or anything less than professional. For all we know he might be one of the better influences in the dressing room

Yeah I listened to that podcast. Clearly came for the money and knew he was past his best.

 

Uncertain then as why he didn't do what Anthony O'Connor, in what was a mirror image of Doyle's plight - stay and show he was the best of his division and make life awkward for his two rivals

Not convinced it was all about wages either, remember we brought others in afterwards and there's been no hint that we couldn't afford

No, Doyle's kind of 'sulky' early season showings, probably showed Bowyer that it would be best if he went elsewhere

 

Just had a look, 45 in 122 is a great return.

I thought he looked decent for us in his short spell though, especially in a struggling side.
