I too agree .......... The Clubs can agree all they like - BUT - It's down to Doyle on which terms HE wants, and accepts.
So - Perhaps TODAY is NOT the day it's all sorted .....(Or any teddy bears have their picnic !) ;)

I can't see personal terms been a problem as I'll be amazed if Doyle wasn't prepared to compromise with them

He's scoring for fun for them and if he keeps the ratio going, he'll be on for 40 goals in a season - that then puts him in the box seat when it comes to getting a great deal for his next contract, which is arguably his most important as it will be the last great one of his career

Who are YOU to say that current negotiations are NOT his 'next contract' ?
Give your head a shake, unless you can quote FACTS.

Make the call this afternoon. Bring him home. Give the season ticket campaign a boost - “the top scorer in Europe is back etc”, fire us to promotion, and bring all this speculation and drama to an end. Scores a hat-trick at Crawley and we all move forward.

Well that would surely work in our favour, if we want him back. That despite everything he has achieved, his ‘red and white love in’, him wanting to see out the season with him, that they are not prepared to match his existing wages for a mere six months. Gives a message that Swindon are not prepared to pay the extra dosh. It might change his perceptions of them!

Whoah tiger!! We're here to give an opinion, so basically allowed to speculate as that's what this forum is before

Never thought we have to give facts when musing what a player might be thinking, but there you have it!!

You raise a decent point, however given his limitations (as he can't play for anyone other than us and Swindon, again this season) I'd be surprised

    Spot on.
Only Bradford City could miss a marketing and commercial trick through. This is why the club needs help.

Tired of hearing about Swindon’s wishes, wage contributions and finances.

We’re arguing over a few grand, yet promotion is staring at us in the face.

We own the players registration and inserted the recall clause in the deal. It’s time for the club to exert their authority and bring him back.

Top scorer in Europe can be brought into the side at minimal cost. We might have to take over their contribution to his wages but the board need to make the finances work and stop pussyfooting about.

A player in his form would cost £500k-£750k in January IMO and we can have him back for a fraction of that. It makes sense when we get it all back and more if/when we go up.

Make a statement to the league and our fans. Go win this awful league.

Several posters have suggested that you offer the club access to your unparalleled business acumen. It would be a win-win for both parties. The club will gain from your own experiences and it should get you out of your bedroom! ;)

Too right, its time to show some ambition and nail this division once and for all. We're in a great position to winning the bloody thing outright, lets show we mean business. There isn't a decent standout team throughout the entire division, why not make that us in the 20 or so games left.

Big risk with that. We're managing fine without him and have key players about to come back. Let's say Doyle doesn't score for three matches, all's Bowyer will have done will have risked the team spirit - which is very vital at this time of year
and upped our wage bill by anything north of £80K

    I'll trust Bowyer either way

Lets not just manage fine though, lets go all out and win this. judging by Swindon's games against us, no one wants to win this league. Even if Doyle doesn't come back, use that money to bring a bit more quality in. The title is staring us in the face if we push the boat out.

Agree with this. Certainly bringing in perhaps nippy 'Wells' type striker, perhaps on loan - would then give us all the attacking options we need

Seems strange. So he continues to train with Swindon, they and us are not sure what the situation is, when both clubs will need to search for a striker until his situation is clear. You would think it is in both clubs interests to resolve the matter as soon as possible.

if we don't bring him back we're going to look like utter mugs.

the most prolific striker in europe - we're short on strikers - and he's our player. and it's not even like Swindon are paying all his wages.

if we're serious about getting promotion, then letting him stay and bang in goals for Swindon is ludicrous. and I don't care how much he's on, we have to take the hit and bring him back here, even if only to take those goals away from them.
