He didn't want Doyle to leave and football is a squad game.

Fans need to start understanding that.

What about playing them both together instead of crow barring a winger into that position simply because we have no one else?

TBF, he did say that he wishes us well and that he still wants us to get promoted. I don’t think he’s been disrespectful at all. The club wanted him gone and off the wage budget. He left. Just because he’s shown his value in a team that play to his strengths, doesn’t mean that should change.

Of course he’s going to want to stay. Fans love him. The management play to his strengths and he is high on confidence. It’s not disrespectful to say he hopes to stay at his loanee club

And what happens when Donaldson is back by the way Connolly crow barred his way into winning two penalties on Saturday. And in the previous home game ran Salford a merry dance. The fact is Vaughan and Doyle are to similar if you think we can afford to have one on the bench then fair enough

 

Connolly did well on Saturday granted but he's been distinctly average lately and lacks the finishing to be a striker. He's there for pace alone and that's not enough otherwise we'd have kept Patrick and played him.

Will Donaldson and Vaughan play the whole 90 for the rest of the season? Not a chance.

Would you, on current form select Doyle over either? Absolutely. So perhaps the question isn't what happens when Donaldson is back, it's who should we partner with Doyle.

 

Another question you need to ask is will Bowyer change the way he sets us up to play if Doyle returns. If the answer is no, what would be the point in playing Doyle over anyone else?

A) Football is a squad game
B) He's our player
C) Bowyer is playing loafs out of position
D) Bowyer attacking side isn't his strength we know
E) We don't need Doyle to score 21 goals for us
F) We create chances but could do with a fox in the box
G) Don't care what Doyle thinks
H) Can't let players control the business of the club
I) The current deal isn't suiting the club
J) Swindon will be desperate for him
K) if Swindon want him then pay big money for him
L) If we bring him back the footballing world won't laugh at us
M) He only has 6 months left on his contract
N) Taking him back from Swindon for any period will slow them down
