Doyle would be mad to sign for Swindon. In 6 months he could have his pick of clubs and a big signing on fee.

Even if he returns and scores 0 goals from now to May he will still have interested clubs

 

I think what Bowyer has said about discussions ongoing is probably correct, in the sense that we are trying to get a deal sorted out for him to stay at Swindon IF the price is right.

 

By saying discussions are on going, he may mean internally at Bradford city. He may be speaking with the chairman regarding available finances, and weighing up the pros and cons of bringing him back.

 

Don't think he would of been allowed to play for us today as the FA is closed today.

He also can't play for Swindon against us on Saturday, so we will see movement on this either way next week.

 

It was stated somewhere that it is next week, however I read earlier that Bournemouth have recalled Surridge from Swansea already so not sure how they come up with the date

 

Must loan players will be in their loan teams today due to the FA Closed but we can recall him any time in Jan.

The week think was about Payne but recalls can happen at any point in the month.

He’s a league 1 striker for sure and whatever happens in next few weeks he’s likely to be playing in league 1 next season either with Swindon or with us. If not either then at best another league 1 club. He’s no better than that level

 

I honestly don't think there is but the problem is that it also applies to the two new mystery strikers everyone wants.

Without a shift in mindset the strikers will continue to toil with very little end product so why bother bringing them at all.

At the end of the day we aren't bringing in anyone better than Vaughan, Doyle and Donaldson at this level so there's only one direction to look if you're worried by the lack of goals.

 

Well that makes sense. To be fair from city’s point of view he was never going to be allowed to play on Saturday against us, so next week makes sense.

 

I think the one nailed on absolute certainty is he won't be playing for us next season.

 

So I'd take it from that comment we are open to Swindon making an offer.
If that is the case and Power allows Doyle to return I'd expect you guys to be up in arm's, you don't replace that sort of phenomenal scoring record, if we drag him back there is little Swindon can do about it but I'd suggest both parties know what's required for you to keep him.

 

200-250k or cope without him and watch us overtake them.

Still don’t understand why he’s not back at City. If we are considering all options and I assume that includes the permanent transfer to Swindon, he should be back at City until an agreement is made.

He misses their big game today, can’t play against us anyway and puts pressure on them to agree to our terms or risk losing him for the remainder of the season. The transfer window opened at midnight last night, so Fordy claiming the FA are closed can’t be right or a reason surely?

 

He is at Plymouth today. Just spotted him in a short clip.
