Micheal Keane is absolute gash. Surely we have better options than him?

Harry Maguire thinks he is much better than he actually is, strolling about casually all evening. You need to be as good as Bobby Moore or Franz Beckenbauer to be able to be defend in a laid back manner such as that. As for Michael Keane, nowhere near good enough to be starting for England.
First time Ive really seen Declan Rice play and he looked out of his depth at that level

 

Watching as a neutral, the Czechs deserved it, they had some right characters and played maybe as well as they could? England were poor for this match but nothing much changes in the way of things...............

 

Agree about Moore & Beckenbauer, but they were truly exceptional.

 

What was worrying was that the Czechs had "bigger balls" going into every challenge as if it were their last, I think England "expected" to win.

Declan Rice offers nothing more than a short/easy/backwards/retaining ball, I must be missing something with that kid, what is he?

 

The bottom of the barrel. England are devoid of any world class talent in central midfield.

 

Feel for Declan Rice, not his fault but another player the British Press have completely blown out of of proportion. Competent but not sure what he does well to get the plaudits he has. Looks a better defender than a midfielder.

Why do we try and make players into something they clearly aren't? He should be aspiring to do the same role as De Ligt at Juventus, something he looks ideally suited to.

Great point, It was more a rhetorical question though. I probably don't watch enough PL to properly form an opinion but Tarkowski has been in a very solid defence for a while. Stones when fit is still better than Keane and maybe even someone like a Lewis Dunk is worth a go in a friendly? Probably all very much of a muchness though.

I was hoping Gomez would be first choice for Liverpool this year but he seems to have even dropped below Lovren now so I'm not sure what's going in with him.

 

Harry Maguire totally epitomizes what's wrong at Man Utd very poor and unfortunately he is carrying that form into his England appearances
May not be popular for this but I think it's time we dropped Harry Kane with virtually no midfield he is our only "out ball" and to be fair he isn't good enough for that, as all good strikers should be his only thought is to score goals sometimes an easy pass to someone else in a better scoring position would be a better option another who carried his current club form into his England form
Last nights performance was very poor fortunately we don't have long to wait to put it right against Bulgaria

 

It was Kane that set Sterling away for our penalty and eventually our goal.

England have a few problems at the minute but I don't think the forward line is one of them.
