Agree, not the whole picture, I just feel for ppl who are judged on their lack of education.

 

A shame we (Bradford) have come to this .......... Afterall, 100 years ago, Bradford was regarded as a place of 'learning'.
But as we welcomed the industrial revolution, England failed to keep up with it's momentum and progress.
Back in the 70's I learned of a 'prophecy' that warned us to fear a threat from the East. At the same time, toys were ridiculed for having a stamp of being 'made in Hong Kong' on their base. Meanwhile, all the Brits could do was think of their NEXT strike. Who's laughing now ?

Me too. Also, many people still don't get that academic ability is not directly related to intelligence. Some of the most stupid and 'thick' people I've met were highly qualified in a given subject, yet fail miserably in everyday living and tasks.

A few years ago, Theresa May was 'interviewed' by a C4 NEWS crew in her car ........ The silly woman was seen to be looking LEFT for a full 10 seconds, before pulling out, and turning RIGHT at a junction. !! Thankfully this was not rush hour, and the oncoming driver was alert. (Maybe that will explain 1000+ days of BREXIT, huh ? )
