All progressive businesses have to have a long and a short term plan a goal to aim for including projected timescales and how these plans are to come to fruition
I presume Bradford City are no different

I know one thing, there's no way on God's green earth that the majority of the present squad will be troubling the upper reaches of Division 2 next season. There'll need to be a significant overhaul of players for anything like a promotion push. In fact, I'd go as far as saying that if there isn't then there's more chance of them getting out of the division via the trapdoor than the loft ladder. I've seen more fight in a dirty dish cloth.

We want pomotion next season.

We're a bigger club than Oldham, MK dons and the other clubs you've mentioned.

13k fans will not put up with div 2 football for long.

Pomotion has to be the aim and has to be achieved!

I understand that some players who are contracted will be here next season and I don't have a problem with that but what was the point in hiring Bowyer if the club are already thinking of the excuses to make for non pomotion.

@Ricc thinks we will be near the bottom of div 2 and with posts like this I can understand.

As additional info we have been relegated 11 times in our history and we have never bounced straight back up

1922 relegated from Div 1 it took 77 years to get back to the PL 1999
1927 relegated to Div 3N promoted back to D2 in 1929 time taken to return 2 years
1937 relegated to Div3N promoted back to D2 in 1985 48 years later
1961 relegated to D4 promoted to D3 in 1969 (8 years)
1972 relegated to D4 promoted to D3 in 1977 (5 years)
1978 relegated to D4 promoted to D3 in 1982 (4 years)
1990 relegated to D3 from D2 promoted to Championship 1996 (6 years)
2001 relegated from Premier League - no return in 18 years
2004 relegated from Championship - no return in 15 years
2007 relegated from L1 to L2 promoted to L1 in 2013 (6 years)
2019 relegated from L1 to L2 - ???

So the only 2 season return was in 1929. It has taken us at least 4 years to get out of the lowest division followed by 5, 6 and 8

It’s no wonder Roger is pessimistic (realistic)

There’s also 19 other mega rich PL clubs trying to stop Man City. Doesn’t mean they can though.
We are the biggest club in league 2 by far and 13000 fans expect promotion immediately.

 

100% sorry if @wetherbywhaler and the board think differently then they're in for a shock.

 

We have thirteen thousand paying fans which equates to six thousand at average prices we have an expensive stadium and standing costs. So its more of a level playing field than you think. Having said that I think with good management we can do it first time

 

We were the 2nd or 3rd biggest club (if average crowd is your definition of big) in L1 this season but we finished 24th
