I will leave you to find those interviews for me then.

According to a statement released by McCall, we tried to make Marshall the highest paid L1 player in our history, but he had already decided to move back to his family.

We did start negotiations with Mezza. If we had no intention of concluding them, why even start them? Again, unless you can provide evidence that it was not Mezza or his agent’s decision to conclude them later, then there is nothing left to say.

We are in this mess, because of later transfer windows, not because a handful of players moved on. But you’re not prepared to listen to that view, so let’s just leave it there

But it is a fact Dave (something you can’t provide). If I have £50 in my bank and i’m asked to gamble it all, my risk is greater than someone gambling £250 when they have £800 in their account. Agreed? How is that arguing for the sake of it?

If Rahic has invested all he has in this deal, he loses everything whereas Rupp loses his ‘pocket money’. And this is my point.

Edin is at City to make money.
You can either increase revenue and profit or if your ST income stream declined you cut costs.
All along the new philosophy has been to find 1 young players skill them up and sell them on. 2 Being a feeder club would enable this. Buying men with little sell in value is not part of his plan but a necessity when the wheels fall off.
Personally I’m not against 1 being a small part of an overall strategy but 2 is not acceptable and essentially removes our full ambition forever.
IMO Edin has found that he is incapable of running the club on this basis because it’s allied to what appears to be his caustic arrogant approach to staff. As footballers all talk, why on earth would you choose city at present when he presides over the debacle.
The only way to start progressing is to remove Rahic and start changing how city deal with all staff. Then people might actually want to work and invest their heart and soul in the club rather than just take their wages.
The gap between the history makers and now is so apparent, it all stems from the shambles at the top and can’t start to heal until Edin is gone.
