You talk so much guff it's hard to take you serious.

By mentioning them clubs you've just proven his point about needing a ridiculously rich owner.

Fulham owner - Billionaire owns a NFL team and in the process of trying to by Wembley for about £800 million.

Wolves owner - Billionaire off the scale, owns half of China and only Man City and PSG owners have him beat financially.

Then you talk about Leeds and Villa, both huge clubs in comparison to not only us but the 2 teams above. Villa just got investment from 3 new billionaires and Leeds owned by a bloke who has multiple businesses including a huge TV streaming service which has taken all La Liga and the PGA Golf Major off of Sky!

We will never attract owners like these have for multiple reasons including location and the fact far bigger clubs are only a stones throw away.

Even with all that most owners in the PL don't spend their own money, Fulham have spent around £100 million this window, but TV rights alone are worth £180 million, do the maths.

Most clubs just spend what they earn as we would if we every got lucky enough to get there.

I suspect that the amount of clubs that can rise from the lower divisions has been around the same for the last 30 years, Swansea, Cardiff, Burnley, Huddersfield, Wolves, Watford, Bounmouth. Have all spent time in recent history in the lower divisions outside of the championship, Yes money helps but the right investment in management and building a team count just as much, Lots of clubs have spent fortunes only to fail.

Ah so you DO agree with me that English football is expensive and increasingly so.
Look at the average wages in the Pl v Championship v League 1 v League 2 over the last 10 years and tell me the gap is not widening.

    Thanks for sharing it again.

As I said before he doesn’t actually say that he wants City to become a feeder club, there is a difference between the opportunity being there and actually doing it. He had been asked about the loan market and he has just talked about various options that could/should be available. That is a massive jump to Edin wants City to be a feeder club

Premiership clubs forced a rule on EFL clubs which allows them to purchase youth players a lot cheaper. They threatened to withdraw funding if they didn't agree. They now loan back these same youngsters and charge exortionate rates. It won't change as the premiership is all powerful

Completely agree. Even if it doesn’t happen formally, we’ll just see an ongoing cycle of a small number of clubs who bounce up and down the divisions. Teams like Wigan and Barnsley who come down with sides just not quite good enough for the championship but too good for league one. And with inflated budgets too. And several relatively high value playing assets on the books.

Look at the premiership. I struggle to name a single club who’s been promoted without significant financial backing to some degree. Even Huddersfield have benefitted from plenty of Dean Hoyle’s cash. Burnley perhaps? Although, they’ve had to yo-yo between the leagues and build resources through the parachute payments.

And to a lesser extent, our league. Even allowing for our pricIng model, a club of our size with 15-20k fans each home game, and the sponsorship and commericial benefits that brings, can’t afford anything more than a modest mid table budget, by all accounts. That’s absolute madness. Even at league one level, you need financial support from wealthy owners to have a reasonable shot at promotion.

It’s one of the reasons I’m losing a bit of interest in it all. Greed. And apathy, because it’s so hard to compete.

I have zero interest in the premiership now.

Which is currently under review, and is being blatantly abused by Wolfsburg (VW) Bayer Leverkusen (clue is in the name) Hoffenheim (SAP), RB Leipzig etc. Bayern have major shareholders in Audi, Allianz & Adidas.
The clubs want to scrap the rule to allow them to compete in Europe

But wait... Loaning players from Premier League sides was part of the initial pledge and strategy.

Don't tell me this wasn't researched ahead of buying Bradford City, Edin???

And when the finances of the EPL and put alongside the other major European leagues, it's easy to understand why other major clubs especially in Germany want to change things. The EPL's revenue are almost as much as the combined revenues of the next two biggest European leagues - Bundesliga and La Liga - driven of course by Sky and BT broadcasting.

It will be interesting to see how this develops now with the likes of Amazon, Netflix, Google etc joining the ranks of global distributors and suppliers of elite football. I can see the pressure for a European league beginning all over again and it will be the likes of Amazon etc who have little if any loyalty to domestic football who will be in the vanguard. Their loyalty will be to their own shareholders and the growing market in Asia for European football.

ps I agree. RB are seriously taking the piss! Didn't they try to get the annual membership fee increased from a few euros to around 800 euros so they could demonstrate that the German membership scheme wasn't working and should be scrapped! Rahic has now introduced another German import, a membership scheme at VP. Priced at £24 for the basic membership, he's said it's free in the first season. But let's see how that develops!

RB aren't alone, just not very subtle. Dietmar Hopp got away with it because he pumped the cash into Hoffenheim when they were it the 5th tier Hopp also spent 100 million to build a new 30,000-seat stadium.
Unfortunately R&R aren't in his league financially

I agree with Edin. Look at Town who wanted us to pay all of Hiwula’s wages last season.

    F*~£" this guy!

He is a lunatic and is making our club look like a joke.

So, no EPL clubs should not have feeder clubs in the UK. like when Man u had a deal with Antwerp and whatever, clubs in belgium and places like that, USA or whatever. Fine.

But this guy cant do german stuff here, this is england. Literally.

shaun harvey can go F himself too.

fining a team for not playing the loan player, its a bit harsh but thats up to the both clubs to agree on, but if hes not good enough to play then he cant play ect...

anyway Rahic needs to go, Id rather be in league 2 with lawn and rhodes.
