Are we? Are we really in the middle of a promotion push?
I'd be ecstatic to be proved wrong, but this looks nothing whatsoever like a promotion push to me.
Promotion hopefuls don't generally go to the worst form team in the country, with the leakiest defence (Orient) and set up with nine men behind the ball. And, even when it is blatantly obvious that the opposition are rubbish, and the game is there for the taking, refuse to bring on Connolly or Ismael to try to force a win. And then claim it was a good away point.

Then repeat the trick at another awful team, Carlisle.

Promotion hopefuls don't go away to the team with the worst home record in the division, who hadn't won at home for three months, and get played off the park - fortunate to only lose 3-0.

What this looks like to me is not a promotion push, but an inexorable slide into mid table, or possibly worse. You may call that a hysterical overreaction and I sincerely hope it is. But to me it's a considered view, based on watching half a season of mind-numbing tedium,a truly baffling degree of negativity and an almost total absence of any coherent attacking game plan.
I think I'm generally regarded as being on the happy clapping end of our support, but I'm struggling to see how Gary Bowyer is going to turn things round sufficiently to mount a promotion push. But, obviously, I hope I'm wrong.

I feel a little sorry for the lad. It's probably a dream move for him coming to where he began but he's going to get flack which he probably doesn't deserve just because of the circumstances, he's not what we need now but I hope he proves me wrong.

 

Fans really need to be concerned about the direction of Bradford City! Massively concerned.

Hope the lad doesn’t read this website we should at least give him a chance. Any negativity should be firmly directed at the guys running/ruining our club. Where are the Doyle / Vaughan Replacement’s?

A new signing that wants to play for us and won’t cost a fortune, he might be crap, he might not, it’s league two after all most of em are crap anyways he might just be alright and if there is a risk Connolly is getting recalled we needed pace.

On what basis can be be a good signing? He's made 17 career starts and 21 sub starts, scoring just once. He hasn't been able to get a regular spot for a league side and made four sub apps (no starts) in a loan spell at Harrogate Town.

This is a horrendous signing. Feck of Rhodes and Rupp you absolute liars. MONEY TO SPEND IN JANUARY they said. This is a laughable signing.

 

Agree, certainly not his fault. Any player who gives his all for us shouldn’t get any of the forthcoming stick. Those off the pitch deserve it.

Good luck to Dylan Mottley-Henry, I hope it works out for him and he realises that the negativity isn't directed towards him as such. He hasn't done anything wrong, he's just been offered a job and he's taken it.

It looks increasingly likely that the board have written off this season and are now cost cutting, which is a shameful thing to do when we are still in the top 7.

 

What would we be doing if we were a fan of say, Swindon? Yeah thats right, the side that have just got their two top scorers back. And signed another two players in the mean time. Go have a look at their social media, the reaction from their fan, i implore you. And then look at ours, please, go look at ours. I know you, and Park especially, love to see the rosy positive side every time but even you have to admit we do have a habit of shooting ourselves in the foot.
