Rupp said we had money to spend on team strengthening, if this does not happen (especially after the coffers have been topped up with the Vaughan and Doyle fees) then something needs to be done by us fans.. don’t ask me what as I’m not for a protest etc but a stance needs to be taken.

 

Good luck to Dylan Mottley-Henry, I hope it works out for him and he realises that the negativity isn't directed towards him as such. He hasn't done anything wrong, he's just been offered a job and he's taken it.

It looks increasingly likely that the board have written off this season and are now cost cutting, which is a shameful thing to do when we are still in the top 7.

 

Can we wait until we're actually out of the promotion race first? All energies need to go into backing the team whatever is put on the pitch not slagging off signings before we've even seen them

The vast majority of our fans now see how we're being run for what it is. Hence the number of empty seats on Tuesday.

But the club could wrap 11 lumps of shit in claret and amber doggie bags and badge it as a brave new venture, and a small number of fans would still clap like seals and plead for patience.

Tell what to the board? If all the players are fit, actually there's a around 14 players who are of L2 promotion quality. And this latest signing could be a decent impact sub - we often lack anyone with pace later in matches. And before you ask. Yes, I have watched us and been just as frustrated. But we are in the promotion race, despite been rubbish for most of the last four months - doesn't exactly make me quake about the ability of the rest of our rivals. Where have they all been? Surely if we're so inferior, that you've given up on promotion we'd now be 10 points behind the last play-off place. Maybe a 'roll your sleeves up' side, has a chance. Let's give it until the end of February before we start rioting.

What would you be doing if you were a fan of Walsall or Scunthorpe - two teams with better average positions than us, since 2007? Again, our fans often lack perspective - we've no divine right to be the No.1, 2 or even 3 team in this division
