Drury

I'm happy for Stu to decide on Drury, if he wants to keep him he'll stay. He's worked with him before so knows if Drury is a good enough coach to do a job.

 

Fed up of Drury’s name cropping up every time something negative is happening at the club..

Almost certainly correct. Teams that lack confidence often look disinterested or unfit. I doubt that fitness levels are any different to other teams.

From memory I remember some tweets about a company that provided individual nutrition plans for the players. I'd be surprised if they had that but didn't have fitness plans as well....

When you have a look at interviews with Ben Rome he talks about group fitness plans and individual fitness plans. So why wouldn't he implement it at City?

One thing that I've always thought would be a good addition is the iPads on the touchline that you see in the NFL. Subs watching footage of the opponents etc. I dunno if this is something that isn't permitted... but it could definitely be done in training?

 

Given Stuart can do no wrong it is convenient to have Drury stay as a scapegoat easily identifiable from the start.

 

Fans are happy then if he stays and works with McCall?

 

I'll be furious if Stuart is forced to have him. He needs shifting. Clearly not up to coaching professionals. He's bad news and needs to go sooner rather than later.

Yeah I will. He's the constant in this downward spiral. McCall just doesn't get a free pass, I'll question him just as much as I did the other managers. He's clearly not up to it as McCall has got Black in from the off.

 

Ultimately it should be Stuart's call on whether Drury stays or goes.
He's worked with him so he knows him and can judge him on his abilities (or lack of).
His role well may change too. Being less hands on in terms of tactics and team selection? I don't know but if Stuart wants him to stay he'll know what he wants from Drury.

 

Why pay someone off when they can work till the end of their contract and actually earn their money.

 

Some people have a net detrimental effect rather than a positive one.

I'm not arsed on Drury. Stuart's got his own number 2 in. If he can make use of Drury, fine. If not, that's fine too.

This the club will always have this bad energy while he is around. Not saying he's a trouble maker anything but he reminds everybody of Edin.

I think for his own career he's better off getting a pay off so be can continue his career somewhere else and have a fresh start.

Not sticking up for Drury but have been present at any of his coaching sessions. He may have been following instructions from the Head Coach. He worked under Collins, Hopkin and Bowyer remember.

 

Not sure I agree with this. Surely the players need to move as well as the ball or we are effectively playing it long? Pass and move is the key, but we pass and then stand still. Lack of movement
