He was promoted too soon by Rahic's bonkers decisions, inadvertently ended up blocking Bowyers bid for his own assistant, and needs to go somewhere and prove himself as a coach

At the moment he's got to stay as we need someone to take training to prepare them for Saturday and then when the new manager comes in he then has the choice whether to keep him or not either as an assistant or just as coach.

Absolutely, Drury has to stay at least a few days. Hopefully when the new guy starts he’ll be allowed to bring some in and then Drury can go. Not before time.

 

Possibly move Drury to another job within the club, don't like seeing anyone lose their jobs

All about money. He was one of the coaches until Rahic gave him a new 3yr contract as Assistant Manager/Coach. I believe he still has 18mths left to run, so unless we pay him up early, we are stuck with him.

At this stage, I’d rather any funds be spent on a loanee defensive midfield player or one that is out of contract. Stuart and Kenny need all the help on the pitch that they can get, even if there isn’t a lot of help off it

 

I’d sooner we put him on gardening leave on full pay than him staying on the training ground if we can’t afford to pay him off now.
