    He was announced as caretaker manager immediately when Hopkin walked. That was a bit different because the club were probably not expecting it and needed someone in place whilst they recruited and appointed a replacement. The fact they are refusing to comment about his future this time suggests they may already have someone ready to come in before Saturday so don't need to put Drury on caretaker duties. They may be saying nothing until it has been confirmed whether the new manager wants Drury to stay on as part of his team or not.

    I have been concerned about the level of fitness for sometime. I am hoping things improve. Against Oldham we looked pedestrian. Players need individual plans as we are all different, for instance Akpan is a big lad, and needs tailored training sessions. He cannot play anywhere near his optimum unless he is on top of his fitness regime.

    I'd prefer more money to go on a scout(s) network but our club doesn't see this/any vision.

    No issues with that,, by all accounts him and collins were relatively well thought of as youth coaches. However in Drury's entire time with the 1st team, name a single player that has developed or gotten better in any way. They;ve consistently looked unfit, poorly motivated and most have gone backwards in every iteration of the team he's had a hand in coaching. Can't get shut quick enough although this to me is another disgrace that we'll sack managers willy nilly, but won't pay Drury off when it;s been clear for some time he ain't doing the business either.
