Read up. I said that because tickets are cheap that some people will buy one and not travel.
Some clever dick then brought the cost of living crisis into it asking why anyone would waste £10?
Here’s the funniest thing though is I mentioned I bought a ticket for Grimsby but didn’t go and was immediately slaughtered and told to change my name.
I talk about the 5000 or so that persistently miss home games and it’s their choice. Etc etc.

It was me that brought up the cost of living and yes people are completely entitled to do what ever they want with their money.
I just find it ridiculous to buy a ticket for an event and then not attend, especially if its done so you might get a chance to follow Bradford city at some of the wonderful football outposts like Harrogate and Salford.
I am many things, but a clever dick i am not .

Yes he certainly did. I would not have liked to have been on the end of one of his tackles. i bet he gave st Peter a good kick on his way through the pearly gates.

I was racking my brain, yes the 2-2 draw . Hendrie sent off for foot up against the keeper if i remember, really harsh and the keeper made the most of it. 36 years ago this April.

 

I used to live in Moss Side and often popped into Maine Road to take in a game, about 5 minutes walk away. On one occasion I went with some friends and due to circumstances we arrived by car. A few of the local youths offered to 'look after' it for a fee. I went up to the biggest one (still much smaller than me!) told him where I lived and informed him that if anything happened to the car I'd come and find him and knock the living daylights out of him, though I didn't quite word it like that. All turned out well!

 

It was the same keeper -Stowell- who almost prevented us going to the Premier league in 1999 with his saving of Beagries penalty.

 

Went with my old fella, god rest his soul, in his brand new car and we had a similar experience. He told the lad to nick or wreck it, i think it was a Yugo Zastava 45 and a right piece of shite and probably would have got more from the insurance.
It was still there untouched when we returned.

 

Good football knowledge and a far better memory than mine.
