Derby County away

Oh I'm 50 but a fraction in mentality. Most of our days was driving with friends in peace but The Baseball Ground, Maine Road and particularly, The Victoria Ground bring back some interesting Saturday afternoon viewing.

Read up the thread pal, I’m responding to why people might buy an away ticket and not bother travelling.
Apparently there’s a cost of living crisis and one shouldn’t be able to buy something and not use it.

We played Derby at their new ground either late 90s in championship or first season in premier league, not sure which.
I do remember Derby had a man sent off, but they still made a real fight of the game, don’t remember the final score but do remember a player called Christie running us ragged , might have finished 4-3

Same, except I have been before but my lad hasn’t, so it’s more for him really as it’s a ground he’s always wanted to tick off despite me saying this competition is a waste of time . However I do expect our competition to come to an end at Pride Park

Quite right @SteveC you get your loyalty points, your a superb supporter whom travels around the country and should be applauded. Love the father/son bond which is similar to myself.

As for the competition, I fear , like yourself that our time could well be up by 9pm Tuesday

 

We’ve a reasonable chance there, Derby are heavily involved in the automatic promotion race to the championship and may rest one or two players. I expect Alexander to play a full strength City side and it’s a tournament he’s done well at in the past.

We played there in the PL and won 1 0. I think it was the season both teams got relegated but it was a long time ago so I might be miles out!

Maine Rd was the tastiest . Wasn’t it there we had to walk down a narrow ally to get to the away end? Memory is a bit vague, oh and Villa .
