The word coming out of Swindon was that Young was playing with an injury due to them being short on numbers. It would make sense GA not playing him when not fit because we have more than enough players to cover and why risk him when there is a chance that we MAY get an acceptable offer for him.

 

It’s no secret, I posted the same three or four weeks ago, Flynn openly admitted it during an interview. I found it rather cynical.

Very impressive performance last night. Apart from Cook and Lewis I’d potentially start with same team for Colchester.
Chapman , Pointon and McDonald ran the show and must all start.
On a side note, there werent 700 city fans there last night so I’d suggest many bought a ticket for the points and didn’t travel.
And the safe standing BS was a farce. Fans had every opportunity to buy a safe standing ticket yet there were still some selfish fans insisting on standing in the seated area.

 

I think our squad is bloated with players not good enough to get in and command a regular starting place, but we do have players who as we saw last night have to be considered Alexander quoted similar in his post match interview, all ways a good problem for a manager to have a fit squad ready to go.

 

As you say great day out irrelevant of the occasion, might even take the family down, that's of course if I get the O/K from @Loyalbantam, he seems to have a problem with band wagoners.

 

Either way, we have no divine right to question what we are told or platform it as a "conspiracy"

I think fans are moaning about his distribution once he wins the ball, your point about him breaking up play is a good one.

 

Whatever our views on Ridehalgh are I think we all agree he isn't the future.

 

It will be interesting to see if GA goes with the same back three from last night or feels that Stubbs and Taylor lack the pace needed for League Two football.

That’s great , because he could have easily gone with the booted and suited BCAFC officials.

 

His distribution last night was appalling, I don't think he found a City shirt with his first 6 passes.

Having said that, I do agree with the poster above that he's generally been excellent at breaking up the opposition play lately.

 

Yes I wouldn't expect him to get another contract.

 

To be fair, Derby had some pacey forwards last night and I thought both Stubbs and Taylor dealt with them very well.
