Looking forward to the " outrage " against the 4 Labour MPs who broke the rules , also Rab - c - Blackford , Corbyn who the government advised over 70s to self isolate . The scum who hide under the " journalist " banner are total arsewipes . This is a media / leftwing vendetta against Brexit , they refuse to accept the country voted to leave . They will do everything possible to delay / postpone the referendum result , hopefully the BBC will have it's charter reviewed and the public " Tax " to fund £300k a year presenters will end .

    Seriously?
This is feck all to do with Brexit. It's about the government giving us all one very clear message and then doing another. Even that well known lefty rag, the Daily Mail, can see that, so how come you can't?
If other MPs have broken rules they should be dealt with. But Cummings was actually part of the process of making those rules, which puts him in a different level of culpability. Several senior police officers have said that his flouting the rules has made it much harder for them to enforce them. By continuing to back Cummings, Johnson is giving the green light to every covidiot that wants to ignore the rules or put their own personal spin on them.
Thousands of parents have stayed at home and cared for their kids whilst themselves suffering from the virus. Johnson's continued support of Cummings is effectively saying to those people, 'too bad, suckers'.

The Guardian ? using this rag as an oulet for truth is farcical . A 4 day feeding frenzy on a non story is pathetic , Stephen Kinnock drove to wales to see his Father on his birthday ( the multi- millionaire ex labour leader ) . Tahir Ali attended 2 illegal funerals with over 100 non social distancing mourners not 1 column inch or TV news item , Rab - c - Blackford drove 600 miles to London and back ( after the lockdown ) not an inch of news paper print or TV news item . Double standards , 100s of reporters swarming over the country ignoring all lockdown rules .

I bet you didn't even read it. You've just dismissed it out of hand because it's in the Guardian. That's pathetic. There's no point in having a discussion with someone who won't even consider opposing views.

If you can't tell the difference in magnitude between someone at the heart of government, who helped break the rules, and others, then there's no help for you.
I agree that Kinnock should be criticised. But did he knowingly have the infection and drag his child and infectious wife 160 miles, no doubt stopping en route to infect others? If you can't understand the difference then, to paraphrase the Daily Mail, what planet are you on?
Do you not accept that this has made the polices job much harder?
It's astonishing how far some will go to defend the indefensible.

Because of your rather rose tinted Pro European / Pro Labour views i agree to differ with you , but to brow beat or try to dumb down anybody who as alternative views to your own is typical left wing , i've no axe to grind with anyone it's the double standards that annoy me . would you have the same mind if Ali or Kinnock had the same treatment ?

The whole driving 30 miles with a kid in the car to test his eyesight is working is still making me laugh. Gullible fcks. The Guardliarn/Bliar/Campbell-end/Liebore/EU made him do it though.

Not a false rumour , no i cant defend the Castle visit , but the fact that some random visitor saw which is uncollaberated with no evidence , the fact he managed to spot his Car reg plate , found the reg on the DVLA site which is impossible . Would love to know the political leanings of this shocked " eye witness ".

What the hell does the political leanings of the shocked eye witness matter? Doesn't change the fact that he drove there does it?

Where have you seen confirmation of his son's condition? Genuine question. I saw it on a tweet at first and had my interest piqued as my son has that condition and I could have understood to a certain extent. I for example am allowed to take him to familiar places for his R&R if necessary beyond my local area. I researched that as the parent of a disabled child and carry a printed sheet that the police will look at if they wish. However, I also saw something on Twitter that the rumour about his child was false.

As opposed to your rose tinted right wing views, which allow you to excuse any amount of bungling, inaction or bad decision-making by this government, no matter how many unnecessary deaths they cause?

If Ali or Kinnock had been in government they'd have resigned or been sacked if they didn't. And, yes, I'd have expected the media to behave exactly as they have to Cummings.

The key element is in government here. That is why the media are focused so much more on Cummings than on Kinnock or Ali. If you are the authority telling people to stay at home if they have symptoms and you flout that yourself then the implications are much greater, because the elements of hypocrisy and setting the wrong example come into it. The Daily Mail's "What Planet Are They On?" headline expicitely recognised this point. I simply don't understand how anyone can defend this.

Johnson's credibility to get anyone to do as they are asked is now in the toilet because of his support for Cummings actions. That's obvious to anyone out and about in the last few days. The numbers of people blatantly flouting the social distancing and gatherings rules has gone through the roof since the weekend. People have clearly decided, 'sod 'em, I'll do what I want now 'cos the rules no longer mean anything'
