Cummins is an advisor, Politicians make and have responsibility for the policies they impose, He may have advised as am sure many other advisors had an imput in to the final policy but to think he devised and implemented it alone is left wing tosh and demonstrates what the public know, Labour is incapable of forming a government of any capability.

The article is a tad hyperbolic, but it chimes with what I've been saying.
Of course those who see Brexit as the be all and end all of everything will not believe these things, because he is their poster boy. But Cummings is a deadly dangerous individual in the heart of our government. He's not just an 'advisor' as Trevor appears to believe - he is the mastermind of the whole operation. He's a one man wrecking ball who is determined to destroy time-honoured institutions of our democracy - the independence of our civil service and judiciary. Johnson and Gove don't care how seriously he has undermined confidence and compliance with the pandemic messages - they are on an ideological mission to subvert our democracy and he is essential to that aim, so they will do anything to keep him with them, whatever the pandemic consequences.
