    Not arsed about Cummings one bit, it’s well known how arrogant he is. It’s the complete lack of leadership that does it for me, the ‘them and us’ attitude, it fcking stinks...I’m probably more shocked that this came as a bit of a surprise to some people.

    I don't care that he drove to his parents, he's reasons were justifiable in my opinion. The Barnard Castle thing is insulting though, insulting that he actually thinks the public is gullible enough to believe such bullsh!t.

    If he'd have come out and said, "Look I'm sorry. My wife was feeling crap, it was her Birthday, so we drove to the Castle. It was very quiet and we maintained social distancing. Again I'm sorry, it was a mistake." then I think the majority of people would have thought fair enough. Now, everything thinks the bloke is a complete nobhead.

    Forget the Corona Virus for a minute, imagine making a huge *@?$ up like this in the media then going to a spin doctor to ask his advice on the best course of action for damage limitation. And then been advised to take this course of action. FFS the guys occupation is week in week out dealing with this sort of shite and he can't even advise himself properly. I'd expect better from a first year university graduate.

    As Keefly says any man that would unnecessarily expose his 17 year old niece to a potentially life threatening disease must be of questionable character he appeared arrogant and unfeeling about the thousands of other people who were in the same situation he was How does he think they coped without putting numerous other lives at risk
    Plenty of other people had the same options he had but chose to take his advice and stay home says it all really

    That is an excellent point and well put.

    Yes she has broken the rules. It is disgraceful and she needs to be held to account.

    I see that she has:
    • Resigned
    • Apologised

    Now the architect of the rules, remains in place, totally unrepentant and this is what is really galls.

    He doesn’t have the necessary personal skills to see that his actions were wrong, and that he should go.

    So yes Rosie Duffield has done the correct thing, whereas Cummings, with contempt for the ordinary member of the public, continues to give advice to the Prime Minister!

    I've gone no. My reason? When people like Tony Blair and Alistair Campbell can help facilitate the deaths of thousands of innocent people via an illegal war but are not sacked what Dominic Cummings has done pales into insignificance. Yes he's an obnoxious arsehole but then name a politician who isn't. Those looking for the moral highground need to tread very carefully as the hypocrisy has a very strong odour to it.
