Of course. Don’t feel we are doing enough currently and think we will have to get tougher on the lockdown measures

 

Those that need the money before June will struggle. They'll have to use the mortgage payment holiday, savings, borrow. Theres no perfect way out of this situation.

It's not specifically people who've claimed who'll have to pay more tax. We all will, and hopefully corporations who've escaped paying their due amount will be nailed down more effectively.

Its all well and good criticising. How would you approach it Fordy? How would you handle those that are very newly self employed?

There isnt a magic wand here.

Think the public are now doing what they can? It's up to Boris now to sort himself because I am not doing another 3 weeks of this.

 

We need a total lockdown for say 3 weeks and only NHS, poilce, and other emergency service workers allowed to travel to work.

I work in Finance and classed as key worker so have to travel to work. The company have put measures in place so that there is sufficient space between co-workers and those who have jobs that can be done from home are now doing so. However, there are still far too many of us still in the workplace, and it needs to stop

I’ve managed to whittle down a team of 27 to 3 (4 including me) working in our office with 5 working from home. By Monday I should have just 1 person in the office.
I’m in a ‘key’ classed industry - It can, and must be done.

 

I think the government have handled the whole crisis pretty well. Yes there are some criticism but this is an unprecedented event which couldlnt have been predicted. And the package for all workers is one of the best in the world. But we can’t go through something like this without some financial casualties

 

London needs locking down properly ASAP imo, people still go on the tube as normal, it’s a hotbed for the virus down there and the hospitals won’t be able to cope if drastic action isn’t taken.

 

Strange place London, its almost as if its population haven't got the message. Either that or they're just plain retarded.

 

You may be right mate and I'm sure many of the people she gets to her rallies believe we have a man made problem, the difference being the leaders of the world and big business play lip service to her and many of the experts.
They say burning fossil fuel is one of the biggest contributors as well as cars and cows etc, yet they are burning the Amazon rain forest down because the Brazilian people want to farm this land that is leveled, it has a positive effect on global warming
Unfortunatly the west want the cheap goods from these countries that are making them but to turn a blind eye to what these countries do to achieve cheap products, and let's not even mention salvary low paid workers and the inhuman conditions these people live and work in.

People need to start taking a bit of responsibility for themselves. Everyone knows what they should be doing now but these total idiots carrying on like nothings happened need locking up and it's their fault we'll be doing this longer than three weeks it'll be rattling on for months if they carry on!

 

Well I've just had my minutes applause for our NHS and to my surprise there were several other households out showing their support, respect to our NHS.

 

You over 70's should buy them a drink every time you see one when we get through this.

Should buy me one too as I will help drive getting this country back normal when this rubbish is over.
