I've had all 4 (two boosters) and the wife has had 3 (one booster) neither of us have had Covid yet every other member of our family have tested positive at one time or another thank God the majority were at the later end of the pandemic.

 

We have both had 3 injections. If one is on offer in September I will accept it. I don’t think we have had it, but we had a cold with a cough in February this year but tested negative. Didn’t last as long as a normal tbh.

Are people dying in the street or do people have a bit of a sniffle?

Seriously it's over, anyone scared of it needs to look after themselves, the times where everyone bent over for a virus that had little effect on them is over, and Boris's actions have basically meant no one will listen if they tried to implement anything anyhow.

 

It may be scaremongering in your opinion but not for the 200 people a week (10,000 a year) and increasing that are dying of covid, Tell them it is nothing to worry about

There are 130 people in ICU with Covid, yet over 250 people are dying a week.

Do you not question those figures? Do you think that if people were really dying because of Covid in those figures that they wouldn't at some stage pass through ICU?

In terms of being serious, cases will be more than hospitalisations which will be more than ICU, the anomaly is that deaths we are told are then higher than ICU.

People have spent 2 years hiding from a virus that made them feel a bit shitty for a few days, that trade off is not reasonable.

 

Not all make it to ICU, Many die before they get there and die on the ward, We have far fewer ICU beds than we need although Blair dramatically increased them (for instance BRI went from 4 to 12) for the whole of Bradford, You may be to young to remember ambulances dashing all over the country trying to find an empty ICU bed and some dying on the way, ICU has never met the needs and is still under funded

I can't believe 2+ years into this horror show and that discussion is still being had.

 

Taking away the discussion of "with or of" there about 25,000 fewer people have died so far this year than the 5 year average.

The people who are dying with/off covid are not extra deaths - statistically speaking - so the overall effect is not strikingly negative.

 

What about the 5 year average from pre covid? That would show if Covid is/could be having an effect

 

No idea to be honest. The stats only show the rolling 5 year average.
