It makes you wonder what the actual total of Covid-19 deaths really are, any death is a sad loss to the familey concerned and I dont know how they could decipher the total figure but you have to wonder what the correct figure with regards Covid-19 deaths are.

Today's indie_SAGE briefing played down the Public Health England figures. Whilst they agreed that it was wrong to attribute deaths to Covid-19 in that way, they also pointed out that, given the relatively short time frame that the virus has been prevalent, any incorrectly attributable deaths wouldn't have had a significant impact on the overall figures. They also pointed to the excess deaths figures, which indicate that the announced figures are within the correct ballpark, if not a bit on the low side.

292,500 (well, minus the 45,000 so far) pending Coronovirus deaths in the UK.

This isn't new, it's been public knowledge for ages. I posted this 3 months ago....

Unfortunately people just believe what they see in the media and don't question it. Scare-mongering at it's best.

I'd rather they overestimated the Covid deaths rather than underestimating them.

Over time, excess deaths will smooth out all the discrepancies in the reporting.

Indeed. Excess deaths are currently running at around 65,000 from when the Covid 19 pandemic started. Deaths attributed directly to Covid 19 are around 45,000 which suggests around 20,000 indirect deaths from Covid 19. It's very difficult to argue against the excess deaths data.

It isn't to protect you it's to protect others in case you have it. Asymptomatic transmission is one of the things thats made this such a shit disease to fight, as a lot of people wont even be aware they're spreading it. The more people that wear a mask the more effective they become.

The numbers are still the same irrespective of whether it's to protect me or others. The chance of me having COVID is so low now that wearing a mask is overkill. It's like wearing a crash helmet while driving a car.

If I was to go to hospital I would wear a mask. If I had to go to care home I would wear a mask but I'm not going to wear a mask if I go to the shop or ride the bus.

My opinion isn't going to change on this as I've done the research and it makes zero sense to make this mandatory now. If it was going to be done it should have been done months ago.

So much for social distancing, anyone would think they'd won the f*****g league :(.

Also, if you are asymptomatic then you won't be sneezing or coughing will you? And if you're not sneezing and coughing then you don't need a face covering do you?

That is all the face coverings protect you and others from, the large droplets that become airborne when a person sneezes or coughs. However these large droplets don't stay airborne for long and fall to the ground quickly so if you maintain social distancing these large droplets won't reach you anyway so why the need for a face mask?

If you then take micro-particles (which stay in the air for longer) and are exhaled through heavy breathing, well it's not yet proven that the virus can be transmitted this way, or how many micro-particles it takes to transmit. Lets say it can, these micro-particles are so small that only masks that contain respirators like an N95 could protect you from these, so again standard face coverings are pointless.

I worked in a lab for many years, I wore N95 respirator masks on a daily basis to protect myself again carcinogenic vapour and particles, believe me when I say that these masks are vastly different to a couple of layers of poorly fitting cotton over the mouth and nose.

I cannot understand why face coverings are becoming mandatory, I've seen nothing to convince me that they offer any kind of legitimate protection for myself or others against this virus. Maintaining social distancing and regularly washing your hands is genuine advice, based on factual evidence that clearly reduce or prevent the transmission of viruses. if you follow this advice there is no need whatsoever to wear a face mask.

People need to think for themselves, look at the research, the facts, particularly by independent organisations and not those that are financial backed by governments or big corporations. Make your own mind up rather than just mindlessly believing everything you're told in the media, who profit from fear, chaos and anxiety.

Most people that do research and take a trip down the rabbit hole won’t want to understand or be able to comprehend what’s going on.
It’s not an intelligence issue, it’s a processing issue.

OK then, here's indie_SAGE's (our leading scientists) take on facemasks.
WARNING: You probably won't like their take on facemasks.

Are they our leading scientists? Or are they those that didn’t get invited to be part of SAGE, or left because they were in the minority and couldn’t handle it?
