Fans need to commit to the Club. Just as applicable as it is to those who through intent, are its custodians.

Park I am not sure what I’am . I like to shout, clap , jumped up when Devante Cole scored a winner in injury time. Went dizzy and sat down. Because off my history maybe i am a legand.

I think you need to read my posts again. I asked if you were renewing. You confirmed that you will not be then made a statement to imply you think the owners are lining their own pockets from the season ticket revenue. As there is no evidence of this I challenged your statement. At no point were we in a discussion about the impact of 5000 less ST sales on the playing budget which would obviously be significant. I doubt it would be close to a £1million as a significant proportion of the 5,000 will be accompanying kids tickets at lower rates from £5 upwards.
If you want to get sanctimonious with me and start calling me naive at least try to keep on topic and reference the actual detail in my posts.

That's unfair.. I've renewed, I'll never stop going but folks are entitled to make there own decision not to renew, whatever their reason, without rebuke.

Agree but at least we would know part of the board was City through and through, there is no doubt the connection between the fans and the club would improve.

The average season ticket price paid last season was probably in the £100 region so for every 1000 not renewing £100k. Although some is offset by the price increase the lower takeup will have made a serious difference.

Each to their own, i wouldn't critisice anyone for voting with their feet/coin and sacking off next season, same as I too can understand why plenty would stick with it. I'd probably fall into the latter category if I was still living down there, even despite my serious concers about the direction our owners appear to be taking this club, and the misgivings I have over their actual ability to see their model come to fruition.

However, my one suggestion to those considering ditching next season is that maybe if it turns bad, fans need to be there to voice their opinion and show they care about this club, and in numbers. I don't know, maybe that is all rose tinted spectacle bollocks, and the owners wouldn't give a toss no matter what pressure or flak they get off the fans. It's a really tricky one, it's easy for me as my decision is made, i'll make my usual couple of games a season, that's it, no matter what league we are in. That's why i can't really have a go at folk considering leaving when they are the ones having to sit through these games, crap football, poor atmosphere and not much ambition week in week out. I just hope there is a miracle and the owners pull something out of the bag, but tbh i can't see it happening when there is scant evidence to the contrary.

I agree it will make a big difference, my point was it won't be anywhere near a million, your numbers bear that out.

Don't forget commercial revenues. If you lose 5000 ticket sales, that's probably around £500k+ ticket revenue and then you maybe lose another £200-500k (depending on all sorts of factors) in merchandise, food and sponsorship revenues .

I wouldn't mind this comment coming from somebody who actually knows something about football. Rather than a grown man in his 50s with a Zayn Malik profile pic on his Twitter.

Why, what difference would that have made? You wouldn’t have renewed? Why buy in the 1st place then, because as far back as I remember, we’ve been a feeder club.

Clubs like ours can’t sustain themselves without selling the assets as soon as they are worth anything. That’s life at a club like ours where we have such a small core of supporters
