I'm hardly happy about what's going on at our club, but it is our club and although the custodians at the present time are causing a divide between fans I won't stop watching Bradford City because I'm not happy with the people running it, so I'm out @bantamlad92@bantamlad92.

Really? Then what watch us fall into non league with a couple of thousand attending, sorry but regardless of what you think of the owners I can't understand that mindset or logic.

Last year City achieved the highest ever season ticket total in the club's history. To be within 30% of that total on the back of a disappointing season is still a decent achievement IMO.

They're asking £169 for a season of League 1 football. Thats what it boils down to.

If you're willing to pay that then great. If you're not then fine.
You pay your money, you take your chances as the saying goes.

Just don't come on here trying to act like a bleeding heart Martyr berating those who have renewed.
Or labelling them 'thoroughly nice chaps' or 'happy clappers' because they don't buy into the mob narrative

You haven't renewed yet, but will you be renewing?
Personally I haven't renewed yet as I was busy around the original deadline for £169 but I will be renewing. No great rush now and happy to pay the £199 which imo should be the new base price for the new future if we stick to our affordable football policy.

It's certainly not rude to ask. I wrote about this on C&B before it closed. We are all long serving and suffering Bantams; we have all been visiting VP as ST holders for approaching 40 years and we're not fly-by-nights and all live some distance away from VP. Our friend Chris who lives about 2 hrs drive away has expressed it simply as the club is losing its soul, he feels detached from it and he's fallen out of love with the club. He puts most of it down to the current owners and doesn't believe they are sincere in what they say and do. Simply he no longer believes what they say. And that's strong talk from Chris!

We had all been expecting something to change since all the commotion post Christmas. But unfortunately nothing really has which is why I am also considering it (I do stress considering!)

I'll let you know how the club responds to me.

How would you have done things differently just out of interest (based on your undoubted vast experience of running a football club in your (what i presume from your name) 26 years on this earth)? Not sacked McCall? Not hired Grayson? I get that results havent worked out but I hardly think they are clowns. They have a clear strategy, have been honest about it (youth first) and have stuck to it.

Its very easy to criticise when things go wrong. They werent clowns last year at Wembley were they?

Everyone needs to take a breather. Grayson didnt deliver and his demands were obviously ridiculous. Forcing these owners out wont improve our situation so lets see where we are in a few months eh and stop overreacting like 5 years old.

I look at what you have typed and can empathise.

A lot on here (and C&B beforehand) live outside of Bradford. It is not quite as long a journey for me as your friend Chris (unless he walks for two hours). However over a season, then to get to home league games I travel just short of 1400 miles.

I guess I care more about the long term welfare of the club. It is my club and has been through a succession of owners!

I also use the opportunity to meet up with friends and family, who I would not readily see if i stopped going to watch City. The social side is very important.

Finally I guess City gives a lot of grumpy men, a good subject to moan about. ;)

I have renewed , i too travel a long way to " home ' games , unhappy at the pantomime at VP . Whether i attend all home games this season is open at the moment, but being a lifelong supporter i would never not get a ST . I hope all the doom and gloom predictions are way off the mark . The board have messed up big time in my honest opinion , a lot of bridges need rebuilding between the club and the fans, will the board do this ? . I'm not sure , whatever happens the club is bigger than any individual's.

Apart from at most half a dozen clubs in the PL & EFL are feeder clubs.
Try watching a club that produces the likes of Rio, Lampard, Carrick, Joey Cole, Defoe, Ince, etc. to see them get sold on to bigger clubs

Well said. The over reaction is getting ridiculous. Since they fired McCall it seems no matter what they say or do they are wrong. We need to get over the McCall saga and look at their two years 'in office'.

A playoff final. A top half finish and a plan for the future (whether you like it or not is irrelevant). So exactly what is it that is wrong?

What about the past year? Here's what I see over the past 12 months and who has ownership.

The players recruited last summer didn't pan out as they hoped (McCall/Abbott/Owners), transfer window did not work out as planned (McCall//Abbott/Owners), results did not go as hoped (McCall/Black/Grayson).

So, I would suggest, their is collective responsibility but for some on here it seems there is singular responsibility. All the above are the fault of the owners.

We need to move on. If you don't want to buy a ST dont. If you don't want to attend games don't. It's your choice.

    I will be there.

Are you sure it was Simpson? I'm certain it was Tordoff who wouldn't open the purse strings.

Maybe you don't know your history?

Do you really think they are lining their pockets with our low price season tickets that only give us a mid table budget?

I really hope both the ticket office and the credit card company give you short shrift. You have paid to watch 23 home games next season and that is what your friend has paid for and will get. I don't know how next season will pan out, last seasons home games were dreadful including the eight home defeats under Stu ,next season may be better or could be as bad but that's football and the joy and pain of live sport.

I wouldn't mind this comment coming from somebody who actually knows something about football. Rather than a grown man in his 50s with a Zayn Malik profile pic on his Twitter.

I'm not sure I would have renewed. I'm seriously hacked off with the last 12 months. My enthusiasm is waning to say the least.

Only thing keeping me going, is seeing a couple of mates for a few beers and a bit of quality time with my old man.

Not sure I want to go through another 5 years of building to get us back to the position we were in 12 months ago.

But as others have said, we ARE a lower league club. Always have been, always will be. We simply do not have the fans to be otherwise. Look at the Dog Botherers up the road, even they have higher average attendances throughout their history. They don’t need cheap season tickets to sell over 10k season tickets.

I started watching City in the 80s as a teen, after just finishing school. I couldn’t afford a ST then and paid each game. I turned up every week to watch my team. As soon as I was working, I bought a ST and have renewed every year since.

Why? It’s now in my genes. I don’t agree with all manager decisions or those of the boards that employ them. But by walking away, who will hurt the most when my club is gone? The answer is simple. Me (and those like me). So regardless of whether I am seeing good football or not, I carry on renewing.

The current owners aren’t the only board members to have ‘fecked us over’ since I’ve been watching. But I didn’t rip up my ST book when Simpson refused to sanction to signings of Townsend and Curle all those years ago or when Kammy was unfairly sacked by GR. Or even when big Geoff almost completely bankrupted us.

What did I do during that adversity? I continued to SUPPORT my club.

We made brilliant progress under Parky. We were so close to the Championship under Stuart and we didn't go again.

I think the frustration is that the perception was there that R&R had the finance and the ambition to get us to the Championship.

Clearly they don't have that short term ambition.

With Lawn & Rhodes I appreciated their honesty and I always felt a strong connection to the club.

    I don't feel that now. That's why It's different.
