If you remember when Julian was brought in it was quoted on here Hopkin went through Julian and not Rahic.
I would think the situation remains the same with Rahic gone, so I'd think Gary has sat down with Julian and they have agreed Gary's budget is which is inclusive of players and coaching staff, and Gary is the one who made the decision, He said: "We have to cut our cloth accordingly following relegation. I fully understand that. At this stage we are going with what we have got."
"At this stage" might be the important bit.

 

I actually spoke with Steve Parkin at the End of Season dinner after the 'Wembley cup final' season about how they came together as a partnership.
He'd only spoken to Parky briefly in their career's before meeting him in a pub in Wakefield 48 Hrs prior to signing with Parky for us as his No.2.
Parkin was recommended to Parky by a 3rd party as an potential assistant manager.
They met & spoke for nearly 3 hours.
I was suprised and wrongly assumed that had a friendship prior to signing as a team for us.

 

How do you know Drury is hopeless. Do you have inside information on his coaching methods that most of us don't.
I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong, but what do you base this opinion on?

 

Of course we all have our own opinions. I guess the difference is that our opinions, good, bad or indifferent, about players is mostly based on what we observe with our own eyes on match days. But with coaches, most of us don't have the foggiest idea what goes on behind the scenes, yet people form strong opinions based on miniscule levels of information.

 

I think Parky was only on £50k plus bonus, presumably a decent bonus in the Wembley and promotion season.

From what I hear Bowyers is doing all the right things behind the scenes to rebuild. No fuss.

We have players coming to the club because of the reputation and the working relationship they have had with the manager in the past. I like Bowyers style, makes players feel wanted.

 

Sacking Drury will probably cost around £50k in compensation, A lot of money but in my opinion well worth it to get the final part of the cancer Rahic imposed on the club, The thought of a non league player coaching professional players and trying to improve them is a joke, Dury telling Donaldson how to play will have him breaking down in fits of laughter

 

First of all, I think you're jumping to conclusions here. You asked a question and as it has already been addressed several times, I provided you with a quote that answers it. I didn't offer an opinion on Drury's credentials.

However, now that you've brought up the topic, I do actually agree with Offcomedun. The problem with your bet is that neither of us are disputing that you MAY be right. The entire point of this discussion is that we're not sure if Drury is a good/bad coach, which has already been explained to you about 10 times already.

I think he has been around enough lower league teams to know in comparison to most lower league sides our facilities are first classs

 

Umbrella's and lightening are not a good option, or standing under trees .
