Actually I’ve been swayed. I’m voting B.

 

We don't need a bloody rebrand. Our 'badge' hasn't made the slightest difference to our commercial activities, it hasn't stopped us achieving record sales of shirts this season or bringing countless new businesses to the club.

 

It's alright, not as terrible as some are making out imo.

I would've preferred them to have made a few different designs and put it to a vote however.

 

Personal opinion, I hate it

Totally unnecessary change to the one we have now

 

The only explanation for this badge is that someone has come home from a night out, gone on to their laptop clicked on Microsoft Paint and created the most vulgar, cheap and uninspired design and sent it to the club, from which someone at the club equally as drunk has opened it up and put it live as the new badge. Horrendous, amateur and tasteless!

 

I actually really like it. People don't like change and will stick with the familiar. I think if our current crest was introduced people would call it ugly.

That old badge really is crap when you look at it.

That black oblong with the AFC spaced apart is doggers.

I think the only thing I really like about it is the colours, although a single colour badge makes more sense.

And you're right about the shape and style. It's just not practical.

 

‘Manufacturing issue’ for Macron?

it was never an issue for Admiral, Beaver, Nike, Avec, Surridge and god knows who else!

the real reason is that our commercial guys are rugby guys and cheap gimmicks - like halifax to Halifax Blue Sox to Halifax Panthers - are desperate rebrand attempts to expand their dwindling fanbase in a dying sport (I know they were at Fev, not Fax btw). Its what these guys know.

its cheesy and Americany too. Not for me clive. Macron Managed it this year so crack on lads.

if we are gonna copy the yanks lets get those big drinks with the food tray that fits around the straw and eat like pigs. Improve the food offering! But leave our stripey badge alone.

@SimonW I don’t think any of us are disputing the rationale behind the change, and we all bow to your superior knowledge on the matter. I think we’re all, or most of us, disputing the actual images used for the new design, coupled with the fact that it seems to have already been decided without any fan input. I totally understand that a brand logo has to cover all formats, but for the love of God, what they’ve come up with as a visual is bloody awful.

 

We can send GPS guided rockets and shells to within a metre of their intended target, we have cars that drive themselves but apparently an badge crest causes all sorts of problems. Deary me, just simplify it so the image of the badge doesn't cause problems, Christ we're not spitting atoms here. And I'm not against change if change is required. I just don't have much faith in a process that publishes a 78 page document then gets the work experience guy to do the final design.

You never know, but maybe Macron provide the funding? As someone pointed out, we've never had 72 pages of "explanation" before, and we've never had Macron as a shirt designer before. Perhaps this is part of the deal.

 

He’s given me unwarranted abuse before but then ironically deleted some of my posts for going over the line.

 

I quite like it.
People do need to start untwisting their knickers though. I'm not sure if it's amusing or sad that we have grown adults arguing over a prancing chicken?
Badges? We ain't got no badges! We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinking badges!
