Give over. How can you sue for unfair dismissal? He was incarcerated fella, it wasn’t the club that sent him to prison. They’re not going to pay him to rot in a cell...!

Absolute rubbish. They signed him because they saw him for Chesterfield and hoped he could get back somewhere near the player he was before his trial

I think it was a bit more than that Park, as MC said "I would be very worried if we were in this position when season starts" and "I'll be confident IF we get in the players we have targeted". Both of these comments are applicable to 3 weeks time as the season starting and the transfer window closing are both on this timescale. As I said therefore there is a lot that still needs to happen - I believe Charlie has a slight injury and probably wouldnt have played today no matter what but do you honestly believe this is the only reason? If he does leave us we hardly have a goal in the club on what we have left - I think this is a justifiable concern with time getting ever tighter. Be interesting to see what today produces at York in terms of chances, attempts and, dare I say it, goals :)

And? He was still found guilty at the time. If anyone is to blame, it’s himself for getting caught in that situation and his barrister for not getting him cleared earlier.

The Blades are not and were not to blame at all

At the time of his acquittal there was talk about him suing Sheffield Utd but as @BoingBoing@BoingBoing said they would have had a good case but it would still be a risk that they would lose and it would cost them to defend either way. The next thing was that he had resigned for them with a nice package. Nothing was then said about the possible case against Sheffield Utd. Coincidence? Who knows?

He was found guilty originally because the prosecution and the Judge refused to allow evidence that would have placed doubt on any conviction, It took years but the appeal court ruled that evidence should have been disclosed to the jury and when it was he was found not guilty which had the evidence been allowed at his original trial it is likely he would have been found not guilty.

Yes something like that, The judge ruled her previous sexual history as inadmissible and he was convicted, The court of appeal righted the obvious miss justice

So, he has a partner.....and was she pregnant? Question because I'm not sure. He ends up being "dragged" into this situation. Does it matter what the girl's history was? Only a complete Twit would cheat like that. How could you like someone like that....unless of course........

his morals are questionable absolutely but it's not illegal what he did and the cold harsh reality is he committed no crime therefore its got absolutely feck all to do with anyone else but him his partner and their families. He's a footballer to us and if he can focus on just that and be injury free then he's an asset to anyone in this league

You are forgetting that for whatever reason he has done nothing for years. He is an asset to nobody he had time in league one with Chesterfield and scored 5 goals in about 30 games. That is the reason we should forget this annual myth regarding Evans

Harry Kane would have struggled to score more than 5 goals in that Chesterfield side, they were totally shite that's why they were relegated.

A myth? Here's a fact. he's a 29 year old currently employed at a decent championship club, has played most of his football in the top two divisions. the reason he only scored 5 at Chesterfield? they were bottom of the table and it was his first club for the best part of three years. If he was available and within our budget we would be idiots not to take him .

They had a young lad there at the same time on loan from Bolton Connor something and he managed to score about 15 goals
