I heard the same thing yesterday. So could be some truth in it.

 

Apart from scoring in a friendly last night, he has not scored since 2016 in the football league. He was clearly a very good striker before that incident in North Wales, but whether he can recapture that with a sustained run playing first team football, remains to be seen

 

Played and scored for Sheff Utd against maritimo in a pre season friendly last night. Currently in Portugal.

I’d take him but I’d have thought if we get him it would be nearer start of season

 

If this is true,how will it affect team spirit? The club are big on scrutinizing players so how do they know he will fit in? I know his conviction was overturned but once dirt is thrown it sticks.

 

How can it be confirmed when he played for them last night also I'm sure it'll make no difference to team spirt why would it

Who wants it to? How people react to Ched Evans will depend on the other players,our fans,other teams fans who will no doubt try to make him feel bad and affect his performances.

I want City to do well and if Evans comes in and scores a load of goals then I'll be happy as we'll no doubt be winning games. I don't have to spell out the possible issues.

 

I would be very disappointed if this were true purely for fooball reasons.

I wouldn’t. If it’s purely for footballing reasons, and he can rediscover some of the form he displayed for Chesterfield, and that when he last played against us, I’d be chuffed if we got him.

He tore us a new one last time with his build up in or around the box and running at our defenders, just what we need and I doubt he’d be a huge gamble with it being a loan anyway. Of course this is only an ‘if’ because I can’t see it happening personally. I’m guessing it’s Jackah speculating at this point...

 

There is some legs in this but it isnt any where near a done deal......way way off at the moment.

 

I saw that game and I don’t agree he tore us apart. He didn’t score many for chesterfield and has done nothing for Sheffield. In fact he really has only had one very good season a long time a go

 

Bloody hell that means he is heading up the M1 as we speak
