His best achievements in no particular order are 10 in 28 in the Championship, 9 in 34 in the Championship, 35 in 42 in league 1, 25 appearences for Man City in the Premier League as well as getting capped 13 times for his country. When he's playing well he's clearly a class above at this level and I have no idea how you would look at his track record and think otherwise.

 

After last season and the sulking why on earth would you question the personalities of any incoming players? We should be more worried about some that are still within the ranks.

 

Yet you would be happy with Stephen Dawson
who had a bad injury last season that restricted him to a bit player at Bury and turns 33 in December.

 

He’s better than anything we have in the squad. Unless you have some info that we are going to sign soemone else that has played at Championship level.

Has anyone else seen the comments from Collins in the T&A re the York game tomorrow and how we are progressing in pre-season? I was both impressed by some of his words and at the same time worried sick - I like that he is honest enough to say we are no where near being ready and that we need to 'drip feed' the processes they are looking for from the players but the transfer deadline and need to hit the ground running are only just over 3 weeks away! He says if we get the players in they are looking for then he is confident we will do ok - but begs the question what happens if we dont get them in? The answer probably doesn't bare thinking about right now as there is already still so much that seems up in the air at the club. As for tomorrow I am not too bothered by the result but we need to start to see a pattern of play forming, signs of leadership both on and of the field and an indication of how and who are going to create and take chances.

Bit of a shit statement considering he was otherwise engaged for around 3 years. And been injured for a couple of long stints. Truth be known you don't want a successful club you want poor players like Brünker so you can tell your great great grandchildren you were uber loyal when the team was terrible. #oneofthehereford150000

 

Its a statistical fact. The lad has played at a better level than any of the strikers we currently have, by some distance as most of our strikers are young and inexperienced. I think people are struggling to look past what happened off the field. He’s 29 and because of circumstance has a lot less mileage on the clock than a player of his talent should have. We probably won’t sign him but this team is crying out for quality upfront.

 

Anyone who thinks Bruenker will fire our team to the Championship lives on another planet.
Ched Evans is definitely in Wilders future plans so no matter where he ends up he won't be stopping.
The squad is sadly lacking that all important goalscoring player at the moment. Can anyone tell me who in our present squad will get 25 plus goals that I like to think would give us a good chance of promotion and take us out of Division One.

We have played one, ONE, pre season friendly and we are complaining because we haven't seen, pattern of play, signs of leadership, create and take chances. Really? One game ... one game and we are here already?

Being a bit selective there Norman in the point you have raised - not complaining but referring to Collins own comments and the fact the league starts 3 weeks tomorrow! Need to open your eyes and your mind a bit, there is a LOT still to do

 

Signing any player has it's risks regarding success.In Evans' case,he has been through trouble anyone would suffer negative affects from so why take on that extra ingredient for failure? The outcome is what it is but in any scenario he has brought this on himself by getting involved in a bad situation and cheating on his girlfriend who then stood by him.

Sorry,but whatever Evans had as a player he's unlikely to regain that and we should not bring him into our already fragile club.
