Looking at the picture it doesn't look like they are sat in the dugout. It was a game made up of mainly youngsters and Rahic is keen on progressing the development squad.

I think you're looking for something that might not be there.

 

Yeah, effectively, we should be PAYING for proven quality, and signing the rest on frees.

We should never, ever be paying for players with records like Poleon and McCartan, and if we do, it should be around £10k.

Something tells me this will be done by Wednesday this week, and I’m starting to hope that will be the case.

I don’t want to lose Wyke, but all the this speculation, news of bids and other interested clubs just needs to be wrapped up so everyone can move on.

With the best will in the world, I don’t buy into ‘it’s not a distraction’ comments. Perhaps not for the whole squad but I can’t believe that isn’t the case for the player themselves. If Charlie wants to move, or the club want to sell, then it needs to be pushed to be resolved so we can focus on the squad for game one of the season. If not, an official statement of intent (either via a new contract or statement in the media from the owners) would be great to put this bed one way or another.

 

So we won't miss our biggest goal threat. Some strange posters on here. If he goes i wish him well, he owes bradford city f*ck all.

I've a better idea, why not keep him.he might even get to be leading scorer,.and even get us on the playoffs then offer him a decent contact that would keep him at VP...sorry I'm hallucinating again !

 

If he is sold this summer and I think it looks increasingly likely. Then I'd like to see his replacement being lined up, negotiated and perhaps even purchased before he goes.

Don't want to see any more scrambling around at the end of the window in the same way they were when hunting for a McCardle replacement last year. Or a repeat of the Kristian Dennis fiasco this year, even if City weren't wholly to blame. That has to be one of the lessons that have been learned in my opinion, get things sorted ASAP, don't wait until the window's closing.

Last season's squad didn't score that many goals, even with Wyke in it and especially once Taylor had gone. Remove Wyke without adequately replacing him and I think there'd be a very definite problem before a ball has even been kicked.

 

The way he huffs and puffs he looks like a 20 fags a day striker, never mind 20 goals a season.

 

The two aren't mutually exclusive. It's perfectly possible to sell Wyke, reinvest the money into the playing squad and get promoted. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

 

So you are seriously suggesting R&R turned down the thick end of 5 biggies to keep a player they bought for 250 large?

 

Well lets put it this way I'd much rather have Phil Parkinson here trying to pull the football side of the club together than what we have, so in a word yes .

 

Get him to sign a new contract. If he refuses then put him on the transfer list and sell him before this window closes even if we only get £500k back. His choice. We need to kick off with a unified squad all wanting to be here.

 

More than one now saying it, fair enough but this whole non bonus payment started with Charlie Wyke not getting a hat trick bonus if I remember rightly?

Edin said no such bonus has ever existed and I don’t think it has. Maybe a goal bonus yes but hat trick bonus. Sounds made up rubbish by people with an axe to grind.

It was rubbished at the fans forum by the club but then since then we’ve had McMahon be the one refusing to play due to it to back his mate Wyke up. That was all sorted and McMahon was in the team. Then it wasn’t that it was McMahon wasn’t happy with the way Edin treat on loan Hendrie. Then that was proved rubbish as Edin wasn’t even at the game at Yeovil that day.

Now we have it’s Vincelot who took on the owners over the bonus. And now he’s been dropped as a result. It changes every month to someone new. That’s why I don’t believe it. Nothing to do with me loving Edin. More to do with that fact someone is trying to throw mud and hoping it sticks. At least get the story straight first.

The owners have made a fair few mistakes and strange appointments but I’m not believing this
