Well, when it comes to communicating with Sergio, it may as well be PMs Question Time, because he refuses to answer a question and just repeats the same guff instead.

 

It's not like we've got John Terry on trial is it. Most of these players are nobody's who are happy to make up the numbers. It'll allow them a bit of match practice and let them build up their fitness whist they consider their next moves. A no lose situation.

Bowyer has not brought in 14 trailists with the hope of signing them all up. Some of them would have been brought in for the sole purpose of us being able to field a team whilst the rest of the lads rest up.

If this was a way of fulfilling a fixture without playing any Bradford City players, why bother? I’m sure Brighouse are overjoyed. Why not mix some trialists with youth players and those unable to play at the weekend?

I don’t think anyone will be expecting us to sign all 14. But why would a trialist go ‘on trial’ with little to no hope of securing a contract? I get your point regarding fitness, but they could just as easily turned up for a club, gained fitness and had a chance of winning a contract

 

The same Charlie Fox that was on trial at Crewe for the past 2 weeks and let go yesterday and Paul Taylor kept on for a while longer.

But LA has a point. It is a piss take. Not one player associated with City and most likely none will become players.

Brighouse may as well have played a local pub team for what they will have got out of this.

not sure a pub team would have brought as many paying fans.

 

I should imagine we might have given them some money, and probably let them take all the gate. Maybe there could be some loan link - maybe we'll finally see the back of Omari ?

Personally think its poor form not to have any contracted players within the squad of 14 on show.

I only went to try see the likes of McCartan, French and Longridge, but it doesn’t really matter. It was worth the 8 quid admission to see Nortei Nortey in the flesh and have a good chuckle!
