    A bit off subject but still pre season friendly related, does anyone know if its pay on the gate at brighouse on Tuesday? Doesn't say owt on City or Brighouse sites. Suspect you can but ground capacity is only 1000....

    Has there been any indication of the team for this one? Wouldn’t mind going if it’s some of the first team but don’t want to turn up and it be the under 18s.

    I'd expect it to be a mix of the young lads and the 5/6 players who didn't play yesterday.

    Only mention of it in Bowyer's interview yesterday was that the 3 trialists will be involved. I'd guess more will said before the match but i'd say at least any of the players that missed out yesterday that are over their niggle will be involved. Normally these games are listed as Brighouse vs BCAFC XI but it's not this time so suggests it could be a mainly senior team. Also our u18's played their U21's only a couple of days ago so would be strange to put out a full u18's side after playing their u21's only a few days ago.

    I may be wrong, but I suspect the weekend friendlies will be more first team players playing and the midweek ones against Brighouse, Eccleshill and Avenue will be more likely younger lads and trialists.

    The ground is in the Lightcliffe/Hove Edge area, very limited parking and St Giles Road is very narrow for parking on. The nearest pub is the Old Pond inn on Spout House Lane, less than 5 mins walk to the ground also clubhouse at the ground.

    'City are expected to send a mixed side to Brighouse Town tonight for their second friendly (7.30).

    Bowyer said: “There will be a few of the trialist boys and we’ll see how people have responded after Saturday.”

    5 minute walk for me Idle
    It roughly halfway between Brighouse town centre and Lightcliffe
    Nice little ground but poor parking
    Make sure you have a pint or 3 in the Old Pond before and after
