How long did the pitch invasion last?

Personally think its poor form not to have any contracted players within the squad of 14 on show.

If GB wants to give a run out to trialists so be it, not bothered either way, it gives him a chance to see how they compete in a competitive game. It’s a win win, Brighouse Town get the proceeds and we get the match.Wombat and Lepton Bantam like this. -
If we had played majority of the squad tonight and 1 or 2 had got serious injuries there would have been a meltdown by some fans saying why play them against that team. I'm sure brighouse will have been aware of what was going to happen regarding the team tonight and we're happy to play the game.

The young kids who set off a flare, disrupted the game and frightened minors last night need identifying and severely reprimanding to nip this in the bud early. If it`s the same lot that showed us up at Rochdale last season why were they there last night? Sunday is an occasion that shouldn`t be spoiled by incidents like this but they might see it as an opportunity.

Agree with what others have said. It was a chance for GB to see these players in a competitive match, a chance for them to impress him, a chance for the Brighouse players to play in a competitive match against, mostly, more experienced players than themselves and in front of probably the biggest crowd they will play in front of this season. So a win - win for everybody, especially Brighouse FC who undoubtedly made a few quid on the night, especially with having the outside bar and Barbeque. They play at a reasonable level and if contacts were made last night which might enable City to loan some of the youngsters out to gain experience, then that is another bonus.
As for the idiots who ran onto the pitch, they need hounding out. Also, I know my eyes are going a bit, but I am sure it was a yellow/orange flare and not green as stated by Simon Parker.
It will be interesting to see how many of those who played last night are asked to stay on and given another game and who are told "thanks a lot and good luck for the future". -
always thought this about the shirt off my back draw. I'd much sooner the second prize of £100 cash than a players shirt.BingleyBantam and hippo like this. -
Thankyou BB. What I said was that contacts would have been established due to City playing there and this would maybe enable younger City players turning out for Brighouse if it was advantageous to both sides. After the apparent attitude from the previous set up at City anything that will build bridges with local clubs is to be welcomed.

Just checked, the match apparently kicks off at 7.30 (rather than the usual 7.45).

The ground is in the Lightcliffe/Hove Edge area, very limited parking and St Giles Road is very narrow for parking on. The nearest pub is the Old Pond inn on Spout House Lane, less than 5 mins walk to the ground also clubhouse at the ground.

A 'mixed' side tonight apparently:
'City are expected to send a mixed side to Brighouse Town tonight for their second friendly (7.30).
