I agree. I dislike Lansman intensely and there are too many ex-tankies in the inner circle for my liking. I spent a lot of my student years opposing infiltration by Militant and I'm very unhappy about some of those who've been allowed into positions of influence.

Being a Marxist isn't the same thing at all as being a Communist. It's perfectly possible to have a Marxist analysis of how society and economics works, which McDonnell has, I'm sure, without believing in Communistic solutions involving vanguard parties, one party states etc. I really like McDonnell. He's many times brighter than Corbyn and a clever political operator. I also think he's a genuine democrat. I think he'd wipe the floor with Johnson if he were leader.

Do you seriously believe that Corbyn and other Labour front benchers are Communists? What they want is the kind of democratic socialist policies that are so successful in Scandinavia. That's a million miles away from Communism, or don't you understand the difference?

Calling the Labour front bench Communists is the equivalent of me calling the Tory front bench Nazis, which I don't. The likes of Patel, Rees-Mogg, Raab & co are a bunch of very nasty ultra-capitalist libertarians who don't give a monkeys about ordinary people, but they aren't Nazis.
