A Mod has edited one of my posts as it is claimed was insulting to someone. Just to mention NONE of my posts have been insulting or derided any poster. A bit over the top by a mod with no name or explanation of what was offensive.

 

You need to take it to the "European Court of Justice" mate they can over right UK law .

Rishi Sunak pushes the new Northern Ireland deal with the EU by telling NI that they are in a fabulously privileged position. Unlike anywhere else in the world, Northern Ireland has access to the UK's internal market AND the EU single market. This will attract investment to NI.

Ha! This is exactly what UK threw away with Brexit. So Sunak now admits the Brexit he voted for is stupid.

 

Exactly. NI now has the best of both worlds that we all used to have.

We will, but not in the single market. So we are subject to customs checks and bureaucracy that we never used to have, and that NI doesn't have because it's still in the single market. NI economy is now booming; the rest of the UK is stagnant, with many small businesses going under or contracting because they can no longer trade profitably with the EU. Spot the difference, and keep clutching at those straws.

 

You have no understanding of how it works.

 

Sending all the illegal boat invaders back is a policy that only could have been achieved with Brexit.

We will finally start to take control of our own borders, despite leftie Lineker et al pissing in the wind.

Just out of interest, how can people travel here to claim asylum 'legally', if not by boat? Or is it really your desire to stop anyone claiming asylum here regardless of the validity of their claim?

People have come in their tens of thousands from Ukraine, Afghanistan etc, safely, through government initiatives to help those in legitimate need of refuge.

These measure are absolutely required as a deterrent and to nip this in the bud before it gets completely out of hand. For their own safety too.

 

The measures won't work because they don't tackle the problem of swiftly sorting the genuine asylum seekers from the economic migrants. The Tories have allowed the system to completely clog up due to their financial cuts to civil servants, CPS, the court system etc.
Of course we need to stop the gangs trafficking Albanians etc, but introducing illegal laws that criminalise genuine asylum seekers won't work, not least because the rest of Europe, whose cooperation is required to make any scheme effective, will not go along with Braverman's disgraceful ideas.

You haven't answered my question. How are genuine asylum seekers from war torn and repressive countries, mostly in the southern hemisphere or middle East supposed to claim asylum here if they are immediately deported on arrival? Or do you think that countries like Greece and Italy, which by geographical accident happen to be nearest to the countries where most asylum seekers come from, should have to take them all?

We don't know who they are or what they have done, they have no/or destroy their papers, there are legal ways to apply and anyway, all this carry on does is defer us from the fact that on top of this we had a net 500,000 + of supposed legal migrants allowed in last year alone.....
Then you blame this already inept government for not funding the NHS, Police, Schools , benefits and everything else..
If you don't get that this country if full then you are part of the problem .....

 

Do we know Labours plans with regards this situation or will it be welcome to anyone who says they are fleeing their home country because of persecution.
