Whether he's right or wrong surely everyone must find it pretty funny that The Guardian keeps rolling out these random people who nobody has ever heard of to say the same things over and over and call it "news". Its just a bit funny.

Even funnier that they're now finding people to who would have backed Truss' plan now Sunak is doing the opposite however when they were discussing it in the days after the mini budget it was made out to be complete condemnation. Coincidence.

How would I know? The underlying causes would still probably apply.

Are you going to answer my question though?

Rhetorically doesn't answer the question? Assuming you think this is 100% Brexit then?

The majority of remainers are still a very bitter lot because they didn't get their own way, much like Krankie Sturgeon over independence.

The serious economists say this was mostly self inflicted by this government and also world events and little or nothing to do with Brexit

Really? Where? The serious economists are actually saying the opposite to what you are stating.

The same ones who scream "Brexit" every time anything happens?

The French stock market is largely dominated by luxury goods makers and associated trades which have seen a bounce-back in global demand, especially from China.

The London market is more heavily exposed to unpredictable sectors such as miners and oils, ones that have struggled with investment income during the zero-interest period such as banks and insurers and pretty dour industries such as utilities and telecoms.

It's a change in market demographics and the increased amount of middle class "luxury" spending which is causing the two markets to go in different directions. Brexit may have an impact (as it does for everything) but it's the make up of the two exchanges and currency fluctuations that it driving the change.

If it makes you feel better about yourself to think that the only reason people point out the flaws of brexit is because of bitterness then go ahead.

The difference between us, is that I would be happy to be proven wrong about brexit as it would mean untold riches and prosperity. Whereas you would be unhappy to be proven wrong and so sit in perpetual denial. Because at the end of the day im patriotic and want the best for everyone in the UK. It seems like you just want your way regardless of the impact on us as a nation in an increasingly competitive world.

    But hey ho

Brexit is not the cause of everything I agree. But if you think brexit is making our economic situation any better than please show me your workings.

As for this particular example if you look at it on a meta scale i.e. the reason why France has a stronger luxury market right now is undoubtedly down to a myriad of factors. They have single market access being one, their middle classes have more spending power also which can be due to the impact of trade since the oven ready deal was signed.

Hence my point, this would not have happened had we remained in the EU. We wouldnt have such a weak city of london.

I dont read the guardian that much.

The point im making is that you dont have any serious economists to quote. Youre just making it up, I replied with the same answer as you which you found a way to criticise. Its quite funny you critiqued your own form of debate.
