I'm sorry Rod thats wrong. You can't start adding the non voters into the equation. 72% of the elctorate going out to vote is almost unprecedented in the recent history of this country. Its just another way of trying to twist the agenda. Same with this idea that we didn't know what we were voting for. Its exactly the same when you go to vote in a local or general election. You don't know the full details of what you are voting for yet people still go and vote.

    Paragraph one is fact.
    Paragraph two looks at options.
    Paragraph three looks at reasoning.
Paragraph four identifies just one set of problems.
Not nonsense just a balanced view, yours may differ.

I actually think this ruling from the speaker could play into mays hands it looks like she is going to the EU meeting asking for a short delay if the deal is accepted and much longer if not.
That will really concentrate the mind of brexiteers in the Tories.
She will find away round Bercow ruling

Ok it’s fact but it’s also nonsense . It doesn’t matter how many people didn’t vote . That’s not how votes work . The majority of the people who bothered to vote , voted to leave. So it’s merely nonsense talking about figures and ‘facts’ that have no bearing on the outcome of the referendum . It’s this sort of what ifs , should a would a could haves that is delaying what the people voted for . I have personally written to Judith Cummins asking her to resign from her post in south bradford as she is unable to carry out the will of the people of Bradford who voted 54.2 to 45.8 in favour of leaving the EU.

Democracy (Greek: δημοκρατία dēmokratía, literally "Rule by 'People'") is a system of government where the citizens exercise power by voting.

Governments are elected and 5 years later people change their minds and elect a different government. I think there is plenty of evidence people have changed the mind on this

This is the rely I got from her :
    Dear Mr Hillam,

Thank you for contacting me recently about Britain’s exit from the European Union.

A majority of people in Bradford South voted to leave the European Union (EU) in the June 2016 referendum and I respect the choice they made.

I believe, however, that the current Brexit deal the Prime Minister has agreed with the EU represents a complete failure. The deal will not protect jobs, workplace rights or environmental standards. It will not ensure frictionless trade for UK businesses. It will leave us with no say over future rules and no certainty for the future - I believe it is the worst of all worlds.

As it stands I will vote against Theresa May’s deal when it comes before parliament.

This is a matter of the greatest national importance and as your elected representative in Parliament, I welcome your views and comments throughout this process. Thank you once again for writing to me and for sharing your views.

    Yours sincerely,

    Judith Cummins MP
Labour Member of Parliament for Bradford South
Needless to say she will have 3 less votes for her come the next General Election.

I keep hearing many have changed their minds but with no evidence to prove it.
That's the usual cop out from the people who want another vote.
I hope the EU knock her request back for an extension short or otherwise. She will then offer another meaningful vote next Thursday it will be voted down again and then she announces we leave with no deal and deal with the EU on WTO as the majority of other countries do.

Read this Dave on every poll there is a big majority for staying. There is little doubt people have changed their minds.
Nevertheless if a consensus could be reached it should go ahead trouble is they can’t find one

So basically she accepts the vote but doesn’t have any interest in carrying out her duty by doing as the people who put her in the role want

I'm on groups for builders on Facebook, I speak to people at work/people I know and I don't understand how these polls work but from the people I know albeit a small minority nothing has changed.

Of course we can't find one when the leave MPs were dealing with the negotiations she stuck her 'remainers" nose in and obviously tried to alter things hence David Davies, Dominic Raab and others saw what May was trying to do and resigned rather than take her advice.
The people who should have been dealing with the EU negotiators should have been MPs who wanted to leave it was hardly rocket science.
May is trying to pacify both sides of the Tory party and to hell with the electorate, I believe the MPs who have done their damnedest to keep us in the EU wil regret it.

Among MPs there are about half a dozen different scenarios and none want to compromise. Hard Brexit, soft Brexit Deal or no deal Norway example it goes on Labour NPs as a whole don’t like Brexit but their constituents do so they support as soft a Brexit as possible or another referendum. And the Tories are split down the middle and may not exist after this Parliament. Unless compromise happens very soon there will be another referendum or General election

Yet we still get the threat of no brexit, that wouldn't surprise me now.
I said when she brought the original renegotiated deal back and offered it to Parliament with the backstop in no MP would vote for that, she had the wording altered but he own Attorney General said the new draft still locked us into the back stop which itself kept us in the Custom Union for the foreseeable future.

I think that you will find that the majority of Labour MP’s are following the party lines. Indeed most MP’s are concerned about their seats, and what their respective constituency parties will do. There are already a number of members who hold strident views, who are attempting to manipulate every move of MP’s. The Labour Party membership put motions forward for a second referendum. The leadership has not come out in favour of it, it is a ‘consideration’.

Personally I think most of the Political Parties are coming out of this badly. I must admit I will not vote the way that I have historically done, in a future election and I do not think I will be alone.

Agree @Bigrod@Bigrod I do believe Labour think because the likes of Bradford, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley have always been Labour supporters they think they will automatically vote Labour at the next General Election.
