I've been disappointed with Andy this season apart from his hat trick obviously but I won't go along with the few who make out he's got a new longer contract so he's not bothered, as you say even though he's not been the Andy Cook of last season he's had and missed a few this season.
Even though I accept he was well marshalled today his bread and butter is giving the CD a hard time and scoring I thought he lacked that side of his game actually having verbals near the end with their number 6 Tunnicliffe because he was frustrated.
What disappointed me more was the lack of physical presence against Mullin someone should have been into him early doors, we know Mullins game throwing himself about he was booked after 2 minutes we should have been in his face.

The second one contentious but he basically controls Cooks header with his hand and clears it.

Haven't you noticed we are playing to the strengths of the 3 behind the forward??
The number 9 is dropping deeper allowing Pointon, Walker, Osadebe, and Wilson to get into scoring positions.
This is the way Kev wants us to play.
If he gets the job then we need to think what to do as Cook won't be as effective.

 

He got 4 goals last season, 3 in the league and 1 in the EFL Trophy. Due to the performances of Cook he was limited to mainly 10-15 minute appearances when we tended to be winning so he was always unlikely to score many. When he got some starts around Christmas he had a good game against Harrogate and a good game against Salford getting 2 goals

 

What a good game today like going back in time. Both teams played well from the kick off and City stepping up in the second half. Tremendous atmosphere and both sets of fans behind there teams. Nice to see Wilson score his first goal for City a good performance all round.

 

He was slow in reacting to several balls. It’s not only me that noticed . He was off it today. A yard short if everyone else in thinking!

Really enjoyed that today, great advert for the fourth tier of English football and we were the better team.
Its early days, but the football under Kevin Mac is better than anything we played under Hughes.
