I think MK had a huge percentage of the play but City deserved the win just as they did with Sutton.
Of course we would have been better off with Smallwood but he was unavailable and Mac needed a rest and with Walker and Pattison out long term Stubbs did very well acknowledged by most onlookers

He served a purpose which is different to doing very well. Alexander's hands were tied to a degree with injuries. Personally I think Tomkinson is better suited to a midfield role if injuries permit as he is far more mobile than Stubbs.

You never know he might get better with practice?

Too immobile for me. Have to keep explaining for the fannies on here (not yourself) that it's not a dig at Stubbs, he's better suited at centre back.

Agree re Cook Petrov, his two guilt edged chances should have been put away quite easily for a pro footballer.
However, I am talking about after we eventually scored and City dropping as far back as they could to defend the one goal lead. We most certainly did not 'go for it' as you have suggested, quite the opposite!

You have to wonder if McDonald will be happy being a bit player, as we know the reason he didn't want the managers job full time was because he believed he still had plenty of football left, I said at the time the new manager might not fancy him although from what we've seen of McDonald recently he improves the team unfortunately Alexander believes he can't play twice a week.
That is why I suggested on seeing the starting 11 maybe Alexander would have been better starting McDonald and reviewed the situation at half time, as it turned out all went well this time and credit to Alexander let's hope that situation doesn't happen again.

Your first sentence is fine. Your second is nonsense. There's no evidence to support that a different formation would have made us lose. Alternatively we could have won by more.

True, but he's a league two striker. He isn't going to convert every chance and that's why we need a better attacking balance to the team. For example, if he'd decided to play Stubbs in midfield, why not go for a more attacking option at left wing back? If we have only three real attacking players on the pitch and one has a poor game then we are very limited attacking wise.

Of course he isn't and I don't expect him to. My point is that we had plenty of chances to score on Saturday even though we were set up more defensively, and it was the finishing that let us down, not the way we were set up.
Look at the stats. We had 11 shots, 7 of which were on target and we scored one goal. Compare that to last Tuesday when we played MK Dons and guess what? We also had 11 shots, 7 of which were on target but we scored 4 goals that night instead of one.

Yer, it's a fair point, we haven't created a lot of clear cut chances every match we definitely had several on Saturday
