Doesn't sound too good when your gaffer is quoting you're not the best or don't show enough at training, at the present moment he is possibly our best call for that position but once Walker is fit or we sign another player for said position he will have to show he's sorted his head out with regards knuckling down at training.
Then again if he keeps sticking the ball in the net that will become a bit of a conundrum for Alexander.

I was thinking the same. He did blow up and cramped up about 20 minutes out the other night but GA kept him on. He might be one of those naturally fit young men, but not being able to keep going through to the 90 or 100 minutes suggest otherwise. How good would he be if he trained hard?

Hope he isn’t another one who waste his talent. He could be a very good player if he gets his mind and attitude right

He's certainly got a lot of improving to do if we're putting him in that category. He's got flashes but too much of the game drifts by him. I'm also concerned that he seems to attract negative comments.

First, under Hughes, we hear that he's trying to dictate where he wants to play (i.e. not wing back) and then his international managers questions his mind set after dragging him back off as a 'subbed sub', before his new club manager questions his application and efforts in training.

It's a growing list to say he's only been at the club 5 months and if that list continues growing I'd be getting shut at the first opportunity.

All fair points, I posted I was impressed with what he offered in the first 20/25 minutes then unfortunately looked to have drifted from the game looking like he had to play deeper to receive the ball, and that I would think is not what we want from an attacking midfield player.

Interesting comment from Ryan Sparks re the pitch inspection:

"When the referee arrived at Valley Parade prior to 5.00pm on matchday, he made it clear to me he was not planning to formally inspect the pitch ahead of kick-off. With that, for us, the game was never in much doubt, therefore I recognise the frustrations which must have been felt when at 6.15pm a pitch inspection was suddenly sprung upon all of us here at the club."
