If as you posted "a friend of mine wanted to sit in there to meet up with some other friends" maybe he should do as the rest of us do buy a season ticket then he wont be disappointed.

No I think not attending a home game for whatever reason is disappointing but in some cases unforeseeable until it's too late, but what's more disappointing IMO is for the club to reduce your loyalty points by 10 ? for not attending, disgusting in my opinion, you have purchased a ticket for every home game why should you be deducted points for not attending, @Park bantam has traveled twice to the Stadium only for the game to be postponed have the club given his petrol money, no they just deducted 10 points because he didn't attend last night, Ryan needs to up your game that situation is ridiculous I can't think of anything that would go near to comparing our situation too.

 

A bang average side does not sit clear at the top of any league. They are there because they are the best side in the division at this current time.

 

You do over exaggerate at times, there's no doubt Valley Parade didn't have 19,000+ in attendance last night but even if it was half empty we would still have around 12,000 in attendance which would still have us as one of the best if not the best home attendances in league two.

 

Talking of USA , all manner of people buy “season tickets” for their various sports and sell them electronically via Ticketmaster, stubhub etc if they can’t use them. Teams make money because the purchaser is likely to buy food and drink. If I take the grandson down to Atlanta to watch basketball next week, we can buy tickets which have already been sold , in a range from $14 to somewhere in the over $1000. Trouble is the little sod wants a court side seat. We are staying home! Anyway, I wonder where in Tar Heel land my “neighbor” is. If it’s Raleigh , only a 10 hour drive.

 

What was a little irritating was on Friday night was a family of 4 came and sat in seats just in front of us I told them they were sitting in season ticket holders seats,more because when the season ticket holder came to their seats the rigmarole of moving and trying to find their seats just before kick off could be a pain for everyone concerned, go and have a word with the steward at the top of the gang way, the father approached the steward and guess what his reply was so I told him to try higher up the stand where they looked to have found their seats.

 

To be fair, they had a bang average start and are in bang average form right now.

They were anything but bang average for a while though. Double figures wins in a row. Incredible.

 

Agree they started badly, had a purple patch and have now dipped somewhat. If we can get a decent Jan transfer window I can see us going on another good unbeaten run.

Both defences were on top yesterday. Their number 6 had Cook in his pocket for most of the game.

 

I couldn't give a shiny shite if I'm honest. I've paid for my seat and there's no way I'm going to the trouble offering it back to the club to make double the profit when there's absolutely nothing in it for me.

If all these people who "can't get a decent seat", which we all know is nonsense anyway as the view is very good all around the stadium, came every week they'd know they could pick and choose from plenty of 'central' seats if that's what they were after.

 

Average at this stage of the season sees you about 10th to 14th. There maybe a good spell or two in there but generally if you are clear at the top you're doing most things well. Might change come the end of the season though.

 

I didn’t know they were doing that? I don’t use them. Nevertheless it is an absurd way to treat your best customers. What next maybe receive a suspension so they can sell your seat? Imagine when season tickets go on sale and they want your custom?

 

I was extremely impressed with their number 4, too.

He wasn't the biggest, but seemed to win every header. Great leap on him.

 

Oh, I definitely wouldn't say their season has been average - far from it - but yes, peaks and troughs.

I've not read this whole thread but at a glance on various media platforms I've seen many fans slamming our performance? Personally I don't get this view at all, if your going to judge us on being a perfect high level footballing side etc. then yes we're miles off, but I judge our performances based on improvements made since GA has come in, the obvious improvements clear for all to see are fitness with the impressive pressing game we now play and organisation across the park especially at the back. The comments I'm seeing is our team has no cutting edge skill and poor productivity etc. now I'm no football manager but I'm pretty sure when you take over a struggling L2 team and they aren't players you have signed or anything then you can't suddenly just make them into skillfull players so all you can do is get them organised and super fit, now in my opinion GA has one just that.
