Noticed Swindon who are probably even worse run than us have got several heaters pumping underneath the covers. Do we have anything like that going on?

The covers will have been on for a while but they only work down to minus 3 or 4 and the temperatures at least that or lower. The main issue areas will be in front of the TL Dallas that very little sun at this time of the year and also with the damage done after the Stockport match I suspect with the lack of grass on a lot of the pitch it has made it more susceptible to freezing.
The forecast looks promising with tonight meant to be the last of the minus temperatures so hopefully tomorrow they can get some sun onto the pitch and the heat lamps directly onto the pitch where it is worst.

    Rain and wind?

    Probably on.

    It's Yorkshire, not Barbados.

Snowing in Cullingworth. This wasn’t forecast! Why can’t they hire those heated duvets surely makes economic sense?

It's a lovely idea, but 18000 heated duvets would probably be quite expensive

Go back to the 70's and Leicester had an inflatable poly tunnel kind of thing that they used over the filbert street pitch. Hopefully this link works

This is what Mansfield Town have stated:

"Frost covers have been in place on the pitch for ten days as part of the club’s efforts to protect the pitch from sub zero temperatures as well as industrial hot-air blowers.

Temperatures in Mansfield, however, have been as low as -7.

Following a pitch inspection by an EFL appointed referee the pitch has been deemed unplayable.

The club was mindful to call a pitch inspection as promptly as possible to notify home and away supporters of the outcome at the earliest opportunity
    ."

So, similar temperatures to Bradford, a frost cover and hot air blowers and they've still failed to save the match. It doesn't say much for our chances.

Well done to Mansfield for an early decision.
